Yunno what's hard getting preggy in the US?
I CAN'T EAT FILIPINO FOOD EVERY DAY! Especially my fave ones like Tangkong (Water Spinach), Tauge (Bean Sprout), Paliya (Bitter Gourd) and Uyap (Shrimp Paste). I love chicken innards like the liver, heart, gizzard, neck and intestines. They don't eat innards here. The bitter gourd that I'd been keeping in the freezer for months and didn't like to cook them cos if I did I wouldn't have them anymore were wasted for keeping them too much longer.
I'm not a picky eater but pregnancy craving is a different story.
I tried not to think of any Filipino food when I was preggy. We have this superstition (yea I know we have millions of them ) that if you couldn't eat what you crave, you would lose the baby. One must put some salt on their palm and eat it to counteract the miscarriage. I am a believer!
And yes we are planning for a second one! Karung buwana More sleepless days and nights for us to come!
