"Momma I just said I don't wanna eat" he shook his head
"Black people these days" he sighed
"Boy don't damn play with me"she mushed his head
"You can fix me a to-go plate tho" Marcus patted her shoulder
His momma, Vanessa. She cooked greens, cornbread, baked macaroni, fried chicken and fish, and oxtails. Her Sunday dinner, she cooked every Sunday and every Sunday it was something different
"So you and your "BEST FRIEND" coming to the family reunion Saturday?" Vanessa asked putting air quotes on bestfriend
She always thought they were more than friends. Not just her other people also. But Marcus and Saneri just let them think what they wanted because it wasn't anyones business. But Vanessa did love Saneri. Saneri was very much different to her
He shrugged "yeah imma come"
He didn't know if he wanted saneri to come. He wanted her to rest being that she be overworking and then she gets overwhelmed and gets frustrated with Karter, which he didn't like.
"Alright baby. Y'all be safe na" she handed him the tied Walmart bag with 2 styrofoam plates
"Alright ma I love you" he kissed her cheek
Once he left his momma house he headed towards his home. He needed to get him some at the moment but he didn't want anything from his fling.
He FaceTimed saneri and she answered on the last ring
"What took you so damn long?" He asked with attitude laced in his voice.
He hated when she took long to answer and if she didn't answer he would just pop up to her house
"Sorry I was putting clothes to wash"
"You good baby stop apologizing" he chuckled she always apologized for no reason
"Where you headed to?" She asked smacking on food in the mic. She did that on purpose to get on his nerves
"Say bru stop doing that shit"
"I'm going home doe where my lil dude at?" He spoke asking about Karter
