    'The' Wife

    I dunno but I don't like it when people refer to their spouses as 'the' wife or 'the' husband. It's like they are not part of their lives.
    It's unfair when people say 'my' friend and not 'the' friend while to their loved ones they use 'the.'
    This is one of the things I discovered while living here in America. I guess it's just their culture.
    Using 'the' instead of 'my' wife or husband sounds so insensitive.
