Chapter thirty one: kaa?

Matteo's POV:

"So is falling in love with the dark lords son so we're past dangerous darling" Y/n says
(I changed what you said because I don't like how I worded it last time)

This girl is gonna be the death of me.

I take a deep breath and kiss her "don't do that again." I say before starting to walk out

"Hey where are you going?" She asks and I can hear her getting off my bed

"For a walk." I say and I walk out leaving her in my room

What am I gonna do? What am I gonna? What am I gonna-

"Hey Matteo" I hear snapping me out of my thoughts

"Not now Theodore." I say walking past him

"Hey," Theodore says backing up to catch up with me "why so glum riddle?" He asks

"Why do you think, Nott? I say continuing to walk

"Oh is this the thing with y/n?" he says turning around so he wouldn't be walking backwards anymore and running a hand through his hair

"Ding ding ding." I say still looking straight forward and starting to walk faster

Theodore chuckles "alright well have fun with whatever your doing. Oh and also do you know where y/n is?"

"She's probably in her room." I say

"Right, thanks" He says and he starts walking back to where y/n's room is

Anyways..

I sit down on a bench in the hallway and continue thinking to myself

Y/n's pov:

I stood there for a second

"Alright." I shrug and walk out of Matteo's room and go to mine

I go straight to kaa's tank to tell her what just happened obviously 🙄 but I saw that she wasn't in there

"Kaa?" I ask opening her tank "Kaa where are you?" I shuffle through the stuff on the bottom of the tank and look under the the little piece of bark that she loves hiding under "Kaa where did you g- I gasp in horror at the sight of 'halfblood' written in Kaa's  blood on the wall

How do I know it was kaa's? Well because there she was on the floor with her head inches away from the rest of her body

"Oh my god Kaa" I drop to my knees and pick her up

"Hey y/n are you- woah." Theo says as he comes into the room "what happened here?" He asks getting on his knees next to me

"I don't- I don't know." I say not taking my eyes off Kaa, my eyes were switching from her head to her body every few seconds

"Uhh I'll go get Matteo" he says and

"No wait he-
I tried to stop Theo but he had already ran out

Theodore's pov:

I ran out of y/n's and thankfully Matteo wasn't far
I run up to him "hey mate" I say as I get to him
"You again?" He looks at me and rolls his eyes
"Yes me again, y/n found Kaa.." I say
"Ok?"
"Dead."
"What?" Matteo gets up from where he was sitting "who did it?" He asks
"We don't know"
"Shit." Matteo speed walks to y/n's room and goes in

Matteo's POV:

Shit shit shit

I go into y/n's room and see her on the floor holding Kaa in her hands and looking at it in horror

"Y/n darling?"

"Hmm?" She hums still looking at the snake

"Are you alright?" I ask getting on my knees next to her

"F-fine why?" She says looking at me

"Are you sure?" I ask looking at her with worried eyes

3rd person POV:

"Kaa is- y/n looked do an at the snake corpse "w-was just a s-snake" y/n says holding back her tears

Matteo pulls y/n into a hug and kisses the now crying girl on the forehead

"I'm gonna find whoever did this and I'm gonna carve their eyeballs out" y/n says into Matteo's shoulder

She could get very violent when upset

Matteo chuckles and let's out a sigh

"Oh come on princess, we're gonna do way worse then that" he says pulling away from y/n. He lifts her chin up and kisses her
