RACE 2 - Max Verstappen

Daniella let out a deep breath as she got out of the car after driving more than eighty laps, testing the car, and getting familiar with it. She took off her helmet and Myra, her PR manager, handed her the water bottle.

“The car feels great,” She smiled.

“I sure hope so,” Toto joined them. “Lewis just said in the interview panel that our team doesn’t make mistakes and indirectly told everyone that we have the best car.”

“He is not wrong,” Daniella said.

Toto let out a sigh of relief.

Daniella pouted as Myra dragged her to give interviews. She tried to get out of it, even almost convincing Toto that she will surely go for the interviews after the debrief but Myra knows her better and ruined her plan. 

"I am tired, and hungry," Daniella complained. "You know I can't give straight answers when I am hungry."

"Dani I swear to god," Myra huffed in frustration. "It's only pre-season testing and you are already making my job hard."

"Okay, now you are just trying to guilt trip me," Daniella childishly rolled her eyes. 

"Is it working?"

"No."

"Then I need to try harder."

Daniella was about to argue but it was already too late. Myra pushed her in front of the camera and the interviewer was waiting for her. 

She shot Myra a glare before smiling at the interviewer. Soon the questions were fired at her and she answered as best as she could.

Max let out a laugh as he watched Daniella trying to run away from her PR manager but as soon as Myra tried to guilt trip her Daniella ran back to her, trying to cheer her up. 

He misses having her around and in the team. There was barely a dull moment when she was his teammate. 

"Done for the day?" Max approached Daniella once she was done with the interviews. 

"Uh no, still have the debrief," Daniella replied. "After that I will be done and I can go back to the hotel and sleep," She smiled. 

"She may be a f1 driver but her priority is food and sleep," Myra commented. 

Max laughed. 

"Hey! I am hungry and tired, and it's been a hectic past few days," Daniella argued. "Excuse me for thinking about my health."

"You deal with her," Myra said to Max. "I need to go update your social media, because you know that's my job, and unlike you I love my job," She glared at Daniella before walking away. 

"My job is to race which I love very much, not fake smiles in front of the cameras after a long day," Daniella argued but Myra was already out of ear shot, leaving her with Max. 

"You will never change, will you?," Max smiled as they both started walking towards their respective team hospitality center 

"Why would I change? " Daniella narrowed her eyes. "Is there something wrong with me?"

"No," Max let out a laugh. "You are perfect the way you are."

Daniella playfully rolled her eyes and smiled. 

But her smile faded as she noticed George walk by, shooting her a mean glare, making her remember what he said earlier. Max noticed the quick change. 

"What's wrong with him?" Max asked, sounding stern. 

"Nothing," Daniella shook her head as she continued walking. 

"Dani.." Max held her wrist, making her stop walking and look at him. "Did he say anything to you?"

"No," She lied. "He is still angry that I took away his seat, and I don't blame him."

Max was not convinced. 

"That's it Max, I promise," Daniella assured him. 

"I don't believe you, but okay," He let go of her hand. "But don't let him get to you."

Daniella gave him a small smile and nodded. 

"I umm.. I have to go now," She checked the time on her wrist watch. 

"I will see you tomorrow," Max said as he messed up her hair. "And cheer up, turn that frown upside down."

"Max!" Daniella yelled as she tried to fix her hair. "Don't touch my hair."

Max just laughed and waved at her before entering the Red Bull hospitality center.

I have finally decided on the second lead but after a lot of overthinking I now want him as the main love interest😭😭 but I also want Dani x Max😭😭😭
