I hear an echo getting louder and louder. I was in a dark place and all I could hear was a blurry sound getting close. It took awhile before I realized it was my name. Someone was calling me.

"Penny," Kim's voice finally adjusted in my brain. "Penny,"

I blinked to refresh my mind. I didn't even notice I've been staring at the same blank wall space for awhile now.

I gave her a hmm sound; to assure her that I was back in the real world. "Yeah?"

"What have you been thinking about? You've been looking blank for two days now, Penny, are you alright? Is this something to do with Kalvin?"

The name gave my chest a slow squeeze. I thought I wouldn't be able to breath until I reassured myself to snap out of it.

Kalvin hasn't been attending our tutor classes for about four days now. I've been trying to keep it cool but recently I've been losing my mind. This isn't like him. Sure he missed a couple of classes before but for four days straight? Something is definetly wrong.

I ran my hand down my face. "I don't know," I said, only feeling a slight frustration.

"Maybe you should see him?" Kim suggested.

I shrugged. "I don't know where he is,"

"Well text him then,"

"I tried but he hasn't replied any of my texts and whenever I call him he's always out of reach."

I couldn't believe it. Here I am, shamefully admitting that I'm worried about him, and in return, I don't even get a small call from him to assure me if he's alright? What has gotten into him? But most especially, what happened to him?

"I'm worried, Kim,"

I didn't know what came over me. I just felt the need to let that out.

I couldn't help but feel surprised with how my voice sounded so sincere; scared and devastated.

"I know," Kim whispered. I felt grateful how she didn't tease me about it. "Do you know any of his friend's number?"

I shook my head. "No."

"Shoot,"

Now I'm really regretting not getting one of his bandmate's phone number. They offered before but I declined because I thought I wouldn't even need them in the future.

"Keep calm, Penny, I'm sure he's alright." Kim comforted.

Oh I doubt that, whenever Kalvin didn't attend any of our classes the reason would always be about his musical career or his sick mother. It would be relieving if it's the first choice but I haven't heard any news about them so far. No meet and greet, radio talk, concerts or anything.

I couldn't shake off the feeling that it's probably about his mom, which makes my worries much more worse. Who knows what could have happened to her.

I tried to give Kim a genuine smile. "I hope so too,"

Just after lunch was done, I had this reckless idea that I came to follow. I thought I pay Building A a little visit and ask any of the students if they heard anything from Kalvin.

When I got to their lobby I wasn't surprised that almost all of them were already headed to class. I looked around a bit and luckily, I saw my brother Skyler holding a dictionary in his hand.

"Sky!" I called. He turned and raised a brow.

"What are you doing here?" He asked from the moment I walked up to him.
