You were embarrassed to admit you were having a hard time focusing on taking care of the kids. It made you feel very ashamed, but you just couldn't stop thinking about Freddy's and your animatronic design, but mainly you couldn't forget Mr. Afton. "Even more perfect than what you'd imagined" was the phrase you had used to describe him.

When you first met him the shock of the moment hadn't sunken in. You'd spent so much time looking at his picture in the newspaper and on the television that he almost seemed like an old friend. Though meeting him in person there were a few new details you noticed, through pictures and television you'd always thought of his eye as being blue, but up close they looked grey, almost silver and seemed to have a hypnotic quality to them unlike one you've ever seen.

But the strangest thing had to be these odd scars he had. You assumed he had them just on the back of his neck, because that's the only place you saw them, but you couldn't be sure unless you saw more of him. The marks that trail down his neck were the shape of crescents and occasional dots all of which were perfectly in line. Perhaps the press had tried to keep them hidden while filming or photographing him, but they stuck out like a sore thumb in public.

All this made your curiosity grow, you wanted to know more and more about him. But having met him in real life it felt wrong, like you were a stalker. You hoped he hadn't found you creepy while talking to him. Maybe you'd try to explain it to him when you saw him on Sunday, you groaned that seemed so far away. It was only Friday; it had been Wednesday when you last saw him. Two whole days...You had looked him up in the phone book and considered calling him, but that would only worsen your case. He hadn't given you his phone number, so he'd know you looked it up.

You needed to focus on your actual robotics project and less on him. Because of this you went to the after-school study hall offered to students for free. That helped clear you mind a bit, gave you something to else to focus on.

Right now, Mr. Afton needed to clear his mind as well. Ever since he'd seen that roboticist, he couldn't stop thinking about them. He wasn't sure what made him interested. Whether it was just your shared interest in robotics or perhaps something else. The way your eyes seemed to light up when you saw him and how you clung to his every word. That's what he found just darling.

However, his methods of clearing his mind weren't quite as innocent as yours. He sighed in resignation and walker over to the liquor cabinet. William poured himself a particularly strong spirit and took a long sip. It was going to be a long night for both of you.

When you woke up the next morning you felt glum. The only thing you could look forward to being Sunday. It was Saturday. Unlike for your classmate who saw Saturday as a break from all the work on Saturdays you had a lot of childcare work to do. But today was just driving Molly and Robert to and Bo from their weekend activities, which could be tiring and time consuming, but it wasn't like having to watch eight kids. You loved kids, but eight of them, that was just too much.

Your rotary dial telephone rang. You groaned knowing it was likely Bo's mother calling to remind you about his gluten intolerance. She just didn't think you were careful, which simply wasn't true, you were the one who ended up spending double as much money on him for gluten free snacks that he actually enjoyed.

You picked up the phone but instead of being met with Mrs. Witcher's shrill voice you were met with that of man. Mr. Afton. "Hello? Is this [Last Name]?" Blood rushed to your ears. This was so embarrassing you were blushing over a phone call. "Y-yes, this is," you stuttered. "Ah, good. I was afraid I got the wrong number dear. Phone books aren't always reliable or up to date as I'm sure you know," he laughed. "I know we'll being seeing each other soon, but I was wondering if perhaps you'd like me to take you out to dinner."

You froze, your blood running cold. There was no way this could be real, just the other day you were the one looking up his phone number. "Hm? Would you be interested in going?" He asked, you could hear him humming on the other end of the phone. "Of course! Uh-what time?" You buzzed. On the other end of the phone, he was grinning like crazy. He'd known exactly what your response would be, with your predictability he wondered how easy it would be to get you to do exactly what he wanted. "I'd say about 5pm, I'll pick you up then how's that sound doll?" He responded. "That sounds great!" You exclaimed.

You wanted to say 'see you then' but then realized he probably didn't have you address, but you were hesitant to give it to him. Not even because of safety concerns, but because the apartment you lived in was kind of...dingy to say the best. You didn't have a ton of money and you would be ashamed showing him you live in a trashy apartment. You slowly gave him your address. He didn't seem to recognize it was on the poor side of town, he simply thanked you and hung up the phone.

On the other end of the line William was trying to contain himself before he hung up, the moment he did he couldn't stop grinning like a mad man. He'd thought you'd need more convincing, but no, you just gave him you address in a few seconds over phone. He thought it'd easy it would be to get anything he wanted out of you, he'd seen how you acted with him at the pizzeria, maybe you didn't even notice it, but this was too easy. Giving your address out to a man you barely knew. He knew you definitely weren't stupid, from what he'd seen, it must all just be for him. All this trust and love. How long had it been since someone had been like this for him? He'd have to think about it.

Back at your house you were readying yourself for your job. You'd have just enough time to get ready for dinner. You squeezed your pillow as you did when you were excited, never before had someone cared for you like this. How easily you'd been fooled.
