"There's never a day when I don't think about you."

"Really?"

"Mhm."

Here, I'm cuddling Cedric in my arms. The sun rays go through the open window and hum as we both stare at each other. We were both 14 and in love. No one knew about our relationship because we were dating different people. It's a hard sacrifice, but if it means to keep him safe from my father knowing, I'm dating someone from the Diggory family.

"Must we hide our relationship, love?"

"You know I never want to see you hurt..."

It's jealousy that I worry about in our relationship. It's for a good reason; Cedric can not bear looking for a desperate girl wanting to date him. I find it sickening when girls come up for a kiss or hug. I'm indeed jealous as well, but it's for his safety.

"Why did you put your name in the cup?!"

"I thought you wanted me to?"

"Since when?!"

The argument erupted between our views. I told Cedric it was not okay and he will get hurt. Cedric wants to win and prove to the whole school that he's worthy. I thought he was selfish. Cedric called me blind.

"I JUST WANT TO WIN, SO I CAN PROVE THAT I'M WORTHY OF BEING WITH YOU!"

That sentence alone made me freeze. I never tell Cedric why. I have a choice to explain why I keep this relationship a secret from everyone. I can't let it roll on my tongue. I was scared to give him pressure. I never thought I ever witness the hardships in the Tri-Wizard Cup. It was the kiss I shared with him that kept him going. Every hug and silent good luck, even if never saved in the depths of the lake, I cheered him on.

"It's finals. Are you scared?"

"Mortified. What if I end up losing to Potter?"

"You have more experience than him. I'm sure you can do it."

"Can we promise to each other?"

"What is it?"

"If I win, can I have the chance to show everyone what a wonderful supporting boyfriend you are?"

I take a deep breath. I feel conflicted about whether to keep going with the secrecy. I smiled at Cedric before agreeing to his promise. This choice can bring joy to our relationship. I'm sure I can get through to my father about dating Cedric. Hours have passed, they were no signs between both Potter and Cedric. The body freezes to see Harry holding Cedric close.

"Help Cedric! Please, somebody help!"

Everyone rushes down to witness the heavily injured Hufflepuff. I push people away and carry his body.

"MOVE OUT OF THE WAY! MY BOYFRIEND NEEDS TO GO TO THE HOSPITAL WING NOW!"

I haven't slept for a week. Madam Pomfrey tried, but I refused to keep my eyes away from Cedric. I had to explain my relationship to Cedric's father and mine. At first, my father didn't want me to continue this relationship, but Amos, Cedric's father, helped me convince him. It turns out; Cedric told Amos about our relationship. Now, I know why Cedric made such a promise. School is about to end its year; Headmaster breaks the news about the return of He-Who-Must-Not-Be-Named. I tell Cedric all about it in his state. I was about to leave when I heard my name.

"MC?"

"Cedric!"

I embraced him though it became clear that he had not recovered fully. I kiss his lips. Cedric became confused when I kissed his lips in a public space. I told him everything, including our relationship.

"How about Cho and Rebecca?"

"I had received threats and betrayal. They did understand that we love each other deeply."

"I wish I was the one screamed to the school about how much I love you."

"Too bad, I became first at everything, but you are my priority."

"I love you, MC."

"I love you too, Cedric."
