People don't listen and that's a problem because that's how misunderstandings are born. While talking, while having a conversation, we are already somewhere else with our heads. We are already one step ahead, in the past or sometimes even somewhere completely different - and that's sad because the person we are talking to right now, should be the most important person at this very moment. The person deserves our full attention. Sadly, that's almost never the case. People just don't listen. It seems like they're listening but in reality, they're already thinking about what to say next.
