I just quickly wanted to come here and comment on a couple of things that I have been seeing.
Firstly thank you for all that have been encouraging me and saying how much they love my books and my writing, I must say that those are the best comments i've seen in a long time. It really helps me feel more confident in my work and assures me that I'm on the correct career path.
But with every positive comment there will be negative ones. Some comments saying how Valentina is a "Pick Me Girl".
I understand that some may feel that way, but that does not give you the right to judge a character when you do not know what they have went through to act the way they have acted.
Just because Valentina says she plays basketball and doesnt connect with girls as much does not make her a pick me girl. What does she gain from being a pick me girl?
I wrote Valentina in a view of me. In other words, Valentina is based off of me and how I act, so I do take offence when someone insults her character, or just straight up is just disrespectful.
Those type of commenters, I just mute their accounts. So if you are unable to comment but still able to read, just know that I muted your account because you have said something offensive and hurt me dearly.
Secondly, I got a message today of someone expressing their concerns. They have a valid concern but I still took extreme offence to this.
They basically said I'm "taking ideas from others books". I understand if you may feel that way, but you basically saying that I am and telling me to "do the right thing" is very disrespectful in my eyes. I wrote this book with my OWN characters with its OWN plot. This book isnt even finished yet, nor am I following the plot line of any other book.
I am following my own lines and my OWN vision for this story. I make up chapters as I continue writing. Again, I see where that person is coming from, but I felt disrespected in a way, even though they never meant it in that way.
I am writing this book for me because I enjoy writing stories and decided to share my creation in hopes of becoming a Professional Author/Play writer one day.
Again I love all of you guys that have been sharing your kind and wonderful messages and comments, I really enjoy reading them and give they me joy.
Those of you that have been express how much you love this book are really the only reason why I kept myself from deleting it.
