Ok so this'll be Part 1 of my Funkin' fics. They all take place in Philly, so uh, just thought I'd mention that. Takes place sometime after the beloved Smokey G passed on to the great big Macca's in the sky, and yes, I nicknamed him Smokey G. Also he looks like a scruffy homeless dude to me. Doesn't mean he's homeless, he just looks it.

Six sorrowful days had gone by. The streets you used to frequent now colder without you. The weather damp and gloomy like your current outlook on life. The only person who knew how truly upset you were was Annie, the long time best friend to the guy you loved so dearly. She was always there to brighten your spirits, and when all else failed, a quick run to McDonald's did the trick. Today was one of those kind of days, and Annie pulled you along determined to get you to feel better.

As you made it around the corner and up to the entrance doors, you stopped, feeling as though something was holding your hand. It felt comforting, yet cold like death... You looked down to your right but didn't see anything, which made you suddenly nervous. "Hey kid, you gonna be ok?" Annie asked, noticing your haunted expression. You looked at her and shrugged softly, not sure how to really feel right now.

It happened every time you came here...

A couple of days later, you decided to tell Annie about all the spooky happenings in the hopes she'd be able to help you. You told her about the hand holding, the way it felt like someone was running their fingers through your hair sometimes, even how when you'd start crying it would feel like something was cocooning you in a hug, trying to soothe your soul. Annie nodded, took in a breath, and said simply; "Hmm." "Well, what do I do?" You asked and she shrugged. "You're being haunted. Live with it? Ghosts are really cool, man." She said, taking a swig from her bottle and walking towards the kitchen. That's when you felt another hug encapsulate you, and you let out a surprised yelp. Annie swung around to look at what was going on, and nearly dropped her bottle in shock.

 "Garcello..?"

The glow was soft and calming. It felt welcoming, like clutching onto an old plush animal you cherish dearly. Large feathery wings wrapped protectively around you, and the familiar scent of cigarettes and damp wood filled your senses. "Garcy..? Is it really you?" You whispered, hoping this wasn't a dream. You felt soft frizzy hair press against your cheek as the angel nuzzled you sweetly. You looked at Annie, who was in absolute disbelief at what she saw, before letting out a heartbroken sob. The angel quickly pulled your face to meet his, and the two of you quickly shared a kiss. Wiping the tears from your eyes, he smiled and rested his forehead against yours. You let out a shaky chuckle, entangling your fingers in his hair and continuing to shed the occasional tears of joy. Annie ran in to get a hug too, and the three of you all shared in a much longed for embrace.

That night, you were lying in bed, snuggled up into your angelic boyfriend and finally resting easier. As he stroked your hair softly, you couldn't help but notice that his halo could glow in the dark. Soft and eerie; almost haunting. It was a nice touch to the shining moonlight pouring in through your curtains like a silver veil. He gave you a soft smile and you smiled back, placing a soft kiss on his neck and getting yourself more comfortable. You listened to his muffled heartbeat, a rhythmic beat not unlike the one he carried everywhere he went. You couldn't help but recall nights like this before he passed; lying together under the stars in the park. His favorite thing to do was make up names for each of the stars he saw, and have engaging conversations with them all. One time you named a star after him, and the resulting blush on his face made you fall in love with him even more. He was always so generous, too. You smiled, remembering when he shared the picnic lunch you made him with a bunch of cats he met in the alley once. A sudden gust of cool air snapped you out of your thoughts and sent you curling closer to the sleepy eyed man. He wrapped his right wing around you like a living blanket to keep you warm. "It's a shame you can't just stay here with us, Garcy... It gets lonely here without you." You spoke softly, holding him tight to you. You already lost him once, why should you have to lose him again? It didn't seem fair that he'd have to go back, but it's not like you could fight that decision. Garcello let out a soft grunt, knowing you were still upset about his sudden passing. He rolled over and pinned you against the bed, peppering your lips with soft kisses and causing you to giggle. You locked eyes, a mellow passion growing behind them. Garcello gave you a soft grin before whispering in your ear.

"Well, I guess you'll be glad to know the powers above made me your Guardian Angel."
