Ben x Reader: Don't Leave - Part 3

Ben's POV

I watched the video again that they team were showing me. It was a video the was taken by a syntec survivor that was recently killed. The person that comes to mind when seeing who came into the hotel room was Gary Reynolds. They both has the same body structure.

"This actually might be Gary Reynolds" I told the team. "They have the same body structure"

The team were over at the RV since Y/N was too sick to go anywhere. She had been back with me for a few weeks and now she was getting sick. Woods obviously teased about us not being "safe" and that she's probably pregnant.

I look over at her sleeping form in the bed at the back of the RV. She knew the team was here but decided to take a nap anyway. Small whimpers could be heard from her.

"Is she okay?" Matt asks

I sigh "it's probably another nightmare. Hold on" I say.

I walk back to check on her. Her whimpers were only getting worse.

"Don't leave" she whimper.

Another dream of the day I left. I reach down and gently pull her into my arms. I move her so I could pick her up. She immediately wraps her arm around me out of instinct. I discovered this one night that if she feels me in her sleep she will cling to me and calm down. I gently carry her out to where the others were.

"We can leave if need be" Matt says to me.

"No this is the only way to get her to calm down" I say sitting down with Y/N in my lap.

"Alright. So Gary Reynolds. What can you tell us about him? Why would he become a phantom just because he followed nelson?" Matt asks.

"He was always like this. He always followed Nelson no matter what the cost. You all remember the fire at syntec?" I answer.

"Yes" Matt says.

"He set the fire. He wanted people to suffer for more reasons than the serum. Nelson planned for the fire to take my life along with Debs and Wesleys but the three of us got out just in time" I explain.

"Why would he want to kill you three in a fire?" Woods asks.

"Her." I pointed to the sleeping girl in my lap "He knew that she would be the reason I stayed at syntec and put up with nelson. Wesley and Deb were just so no one could try and stop syntec. Wesley wanted to take down syntec for everything and Deb well she had her own plans" I continue.

"What plans did she have?" Sam asks.

"Project 863 of course. This project was hers as you know. She loved Wesley and wanted to see me with her but that ended very fast when Nelson wanted to use her as an experiment" I answered.

"Right, you mentioned that when we showed you the flie. Why her though?" Matt asks

"Because she means the world to me" I said just as Y/N started to wake up. "Hey sleepy head"

"Shh" she says as she snuggles into my shoulder more.

"We really appreciate the help Ben. We are gonna head out. We hope you feel better Y/N" Matt says..

"Bye guys" I say to them as they head out. Y/N yawns as she sits up. "Y/N i have two serious questions for you"

"Okay?" She says looking at me.

"Could you possibly be pregnant? You've been sick but not really sick recently." I ask her.

"I'm late on my period by like 2 weeks. I haven't mentioned taking a test cause I was telling myself that im just late on my period" Y/N explains to me.

"We will pick up some tests next time we are at the store. Secondly" I say as I pull out a velvet ring box "i was gonna make this a bit more special but I think i want to do this now. Will you marry me?"

"You want me to marry you?" Y/N asks as she starts to cry.

"Yes. I want you to marry me. I want you to be by my side and share my last name" I say to her.

"Yes! Oh my god i will marry you" She says hugging me.

It did turn out that she was pregnant as we found out two days after my proposal so not only was she going to share my last name soon, we would also be starting a family. With Nelson gone, neither of us had to worry about losing the other.
