After the Mikeal drama all of us helped him adapt and in exchange he said he owed us a life debt which tried to decline but he can be dramatic so we accepted when he came 'home' from looking for Freya we all trained hung out or he told us sorties of the Vikings the things he likes the most coming here in my opinion is the horses and the people. Not that he would admit to it but what can you do? It's been a couple of months since the Gilbert's death me and JJ admitted we tried to prevent it which we did until the universe decided to take them out by a semi truck Elena wasn't with them as it was their date night the founding families parents take turns keeping the kids so the others can have date night or they all come to our house and they leave us with grams. Which means they don't hate us Jere actually thanked us for trying.

"Peyton come on we are taking the horses out!!" I heard Mikeal call out from downstairs
"Coming" i replied before dashing downstairs and jumping on his back he grunts out a laugh then grabs the backs of my legs and continued walking
"We just got more feed in me and you have to check the fence perimeter before we can join them sound good?" Mikeal asked turning his head slightly to let me know he is talking me.
I kiss his cheek before jumping down and grab his hand before answering. "Yes sir."
"Good girl come on hop up." He says walking us over our horses. Which I mount and wait for him before we start the walk around the fence line of the pasture leaving the others to start on the trails.
"When do my children show up?" He ask after we finish fixing part of the fix.
"Well it happens after a bunch of Katherine drama after the masquerade ball is when Elena gets kidnapped and the vampires who kidnapped her contact Elijah I'm going with her cause she can't seem to not cause trouble i know in the show the only thing that saved her is because no one wanted to piss off Klaus by killing the doppelgänger." I tell him as we remounted and continued the ride around the fence line
"I can imagine she's whiny and kind of a brat." He tells me scrunching his nose slightly
I snorted "yeah I tried to fix her oh that sounded bad but I came from a universe where I had to work hard to keep my family safe and where manners got you further than being a brat did, I don't like how she thinks she's entitled to everything."
"What was your universe like?" Mikeal asked
"Well for starters the supernatural was something you could only find in books and shows, and I actually was killed by my abusive father but before that I worked two part time jobs and was into stocks all while being a high school student trying to get enough money to leave my drug addict father." I told him as we started the trail
" I'm sorry you had to suffer through that." Mikeal told me
"Me too but I've got a better family and happier memories now." I said to him looking at him with a bright smile.
" yeah you do when will the drama start?" He asked getting back on topic when we caught up with everyone at the stream
"When Stefan shows himself." I told him in old Norse i case we had ears on us to which he nodded
"When do you think he'll show himself?" Mikeal asked a JJ slowed down to ride on Mikeal's other side
"Probably just like he did before the start of the new school year." JJ told Mikeal me having filled him telepathically and he nodded
"Have you got anymore leads on Freya?" I ask watching as frustration seeped through his voice when he spoke
"No i feel like they are sending me to catch smoke without the proper equipment." He let out in a huff
"When are you coming back?" I asked already knowing he's going to leave again soon which is understandable the sooner he frees Freya the sooner he can start amends.
"How'd you know?" He asked quietly to which I gave him a knowing look and JJ snorted "right well next week some informants found new cottages that look their exact words were out of there time." I nodded before he continued "middle of the upcoming school year handle some of the problems you need solved then travel I guess?"
"You have traveled not all you but if that's what you want then go you know you can always come back here." I tell him
"I know sweetheart." Mikeal said squeezing my shoulder before Bonnie called me and JJ up head to get ahead you the adults. " go have fun before all the drama starts." Which we nodded to and took all to aware of the eyes following us
When we caught up the the rest the other could feel it as well as the horses
"Woah easy girl easy what is it?" Caroline asked moving herself and the horse back
"I don't know" I said looking and straining my ears to listen looking into the trees above to see if it could've been a cougar. Nothing happened the horses all calmed down the feeling of being watched faded.
"Okay I'm not normally freaked out since the Davis' adopted me but that was pretty weird right?" Matt asked on his horse with Elena.
"Yeah it was and I've seen some things let's just keep moving, or we can just head back?" JJ asked looking to everyone
"Let's head back my horses have been desensitized to almost everything under the moon they've never don't this before." I said which was true, the only thing that really spooks them now is when they jerk themselves awake.
"What happened why are you all stopped?" Mikeal asked
We explain the situation and what happened he agreed saying these were some of the most fearless horses and if they got spooked then it's something terrible. So we we headed back untacked the horses and put them out into the pasture since it's going to be clear and sunny the next few days.
