                          "Any more words?
                  I think you've spoke enough."

Allison had messaged Jade a few minutes ago, telling her that she had ditched school for the day with Scott. The blonde still didn't know where Lydia was; she wasn't answering her phone and she hadn't had a chance to ask Stiles what had happened last night. Max and Stiles were off in the corridors or the cafeteria somewhere.

Jade had resorted to sitting outside under some trees, reading. She had also put in her earphones, mainly for the fact that people would hopefully take the hint and leave her alone. She was thankful that it was sunny outside and that she was finally getting some quiet for a few minutes.

It was the first time she had actually felt relaxed since coming to the small town. It was nice to get transported into a fictional world, and not have to worry about anything happening in her own world, which, to be honest, was gone to shit.

A shadow loomed over her, in the way of her source of light. Well- two shadows. She looked up, pulling her earphones out.

Boyd, from her chemistry class, was standing above her, looking like he was waiting for a reply. Another boy stood awkwardly behind him, shuffling backwards and forwards on his feet. He was very tall, with dark blonde hair. He refused to make eye contact with her, but she could see a crystal blue colour peeking out.

"Sorry, I had earphones in, what did you say?"

"Oh uh, sorry. There's no where else to sit, so we were wondering would you mind if we sat with you?" he asked, almost afraid of the girl's answer. Even though he knew she was nice- from the, like, five second conversation he had with her- she was still scary.

"Yeah of course!" she replied, moving her bag over to make room for them.

The two boys sat down opposite her, throwing their own stuff beside them. "This is Isaac," Boyd said, introducing his friend.

Isaac sent her a nervous smile, which she returned in what she hoped was a friendly way. She couldn't help but notice that the boy had a bruise over his left eye, the sun making it more visible. It looked like he had tried to cover it up with concealer, but he hadn't done a very good job, because of you were sitting this close to him, you could tell it was there.

"I'm Jade," she introduced herself.

"So how are you finding Beacon Hills so far?" Boyd asked, attempting to keep a conversation going with the three of them. Isaac wasn't going to make the first attempt, and Jade didn't seem like she was very good at starting conversations either, so he was left with the brunt of that side of things.

"Uh. It's... interesting I can tell you that," she laughed. "It's okay. The people are nice so that's a plus."

The group talked for a good ten minutes, thankful for the distraction. She came to the realisation that Isaac was also in their chemistry class, but he sat at the very back, so that was probably why she hadn't noticed him. The three of them exchanged numbers, saying that the next group project they would have to do, could be together. They were interrupted when Stiles came sprinting towards her, nearly crashing into them.

"Oh, here we go," she sighed, throwing her head backwards as she groaned. Really? Five minutes was all she asked for, but could she get that? No, of course not.

"Jade," he exclaimed, breathing heavily. "Scott said you need to-" He cut himself off when he noticed the other two boys sat with her, not willing to let any information slip out.

Max came running up behind Stiles, screaming his head off. "I told you to wait, asshole!"

"Hey. I have to borrow Jade," Stiles said addressing Boyd and Isaac and grabbing a hold of the girls arm, and dragging her to her feet. "She'll probably not be back, sorry."

Shrugging his grip off of her arm, she picked up her bag and book, wiping grass off her skirt.

Max and Stiles started to walk away from the other three, bickering as per usual.

"Sorry about my hyperactive friend there. He apparently doesn't have any manners. I've got to go, but set a group up on messages and we can talk there," she told them, throwing her book into her bag and pulling the zip across. "Bye," she yelled over her shoulder, waving slightly and running to catch up with her brother and Stiles.

"This better be good," she squeezed in between them, wrapping her arms around their shoulders.

"So, as you know, Scott has bunked off school today. Therefore, that means you are now our supernatural saver," Stiles noted casually. "That means you need to come up with solutions, or temporary solutions to our supernatural crisis'."

"Think of it as a supernatural hotline," Max added, trying to put it in simpler terms, something Stiles apparently wasn't able to do.

"Well, why can't you do it?" she asked her brother, groaning in exhaustion.

"Now, Jade. You're smart. How well do you reckon that's going to work out?" he raised an eyebrow at her. In what world would him coming up with solutions be of any use? He'd probably let the world burn down!

"Okay, fair point," she sighed. "Hit me with them."

"Lydia is totally MIA, Jackson looks like he's turned into even more of a ticking time bomb and another random guy's dead," the buzzcut boy said, listing them off on his fingers.

"Okay, well random dead guy, we can't do anything for. You two go and see if you can find Lydia, and I'll go find Jackson. But first I want you to fill me in on everything I'm not up to date with, including what happened with Lydia and Jackson," she ordered.

                                       ~

"Jackass, wait up!" Jade shouted down the corridor.

The boy looked down at the blonde heading towards him, sighing. Rolling his eyes, he reluctantly slowed down to wait for her, still walking.

"What do you want, Pierce?" he asked, irritated.

"Are you okay?" she questioned. She was slightly concerned for the boy. Slightly being the key word.

"Yeah, why?" he asked, continuing to head down the hallway.

"I heard about what happened last night," she followed him, not giving up on her interrogation.

"I'm fine."

"Okay. If you're not, that's okay though," she said. She almost slammed into the back of him when he abruptly stopped at his locker without any warning.

"Thanks for the concern but I'm okay," he said. When she didn't reply, he glanced back at her. She was standing with her hands on her hips and her brows furrowed, trying to read his expression. "Really. I'm okay," Jackson replied sincerely.

"What's that on the back of your neck?" she asked. When he had reached into his locker, she had noticed a mark on his neck that similarly resembled claw marks. That was never a good sign.

Instantly covering his neck, he scowled. "Some psycho in a leather jacket was looking for Scott a few days ago. I reckon he's a drug dealer or something. Anyways, I've got to go. Thanks for the concern, Pierce," he said, giving her a tight lipped smile and heading out the exit.

Jade scoffed. He had practically ran away from her, clearly not liking the fact that she was questioning him. She left out the opposite door, knowing exactly where she was headed for next.

Derek Hale's.
