(Y/N), a normal boy who has admired heroes ever since he was 5, but it was impossible for him to become one. After all he was just an ordinary kid. That was until he found a certain device that fell from the sky one day.
Currently Nightwing, Superboy, Black Canary, (Y/N) and Captain Atom were all inside of the Watchtower. Captain Atom was showing them something he had picked up on the tower's scanners.
Captain Atom : We've been tracking something on long-range scanners. It's on a direct course for Earth. It's about to pass in front of Rhea, one of the moons of Saturn.
Nightwing then noticed that the large planet like structure that was headed towards Earth had changed directions.
Nightwing : Not in front of Rhea, behind it. That thing, whatever it is, is huge!
Meanwhile in the Reach's ship, the Ambassador, Black Beetle and the Head Scientists had visual on the planet like structure headed towards Earth.
Ambassador : Why would he come here? And why now? *to Head Scientist* Open a sub-space channel.
The Head scientist opened up the sub-space channel, allowing the Ambassador to communicate with the person inside the structure.
Ambassador : Attention. I am an ambassador of the Reach and claim the Earth as property of the Reach under Guardian treaty. You are therefore, breaching Reach territory. Reverse course.
??? : *through channel* Request denied. It is because the Reach is on Earth that I am here.
The Ambassador gave the head scientist a signal and she cut the transmission.
Back with Nightwing and (Y/N), they was summoned to the Star Labs facility in Taos where Green Beetle was to share some news.
Green Beetle : Thank you for coming My Scarab has accessed the Reach's database for intelligence on the approaching threat. It is called the Warworld. A massive artificial satellite, slightly smaller than Earth's moon. It is a mobile doomsday weapon, created millennia ago by a now understandably extinct alien race. It is self-powering and self-sustaining, thanks to an endless supply of worker drones providing repair and battle drones providing security. The Warworld was reactivated by a crystal key long thought lost, yet somehow, the WarWorld's current commander found it. That commander, Mongul, now sits at the WarWorld's helm, which receives and transmits his every thought allowing him to control all of the WarWorld's functions, trajectory, weapons and drones without moving a muscle.
Captain Atom : Who is this Mongul?
Green Beetle : Long ago, he was the sole dictator of his home planet. But he was outed by another tyrant and is determined to reclaim his throne.
Nightwing : So what does that have to do with us?
Green Beetle : Mongul has determined that the surest way to take back his is to first concur the entire galaxy. One can only assume he now views Earth as a threat to that plan, and so he comes, with literally enough fire power to destroy your world.
In the outskirst of space, Mongul used his thoughts to make the Warworld activate a large cannon. The cannon then fired at Earth and was about to destroy it, when it was blocked by a familiar golden ankh.
It was revealed to be Doctor Fate and the ankh began to shrink as the blast was redirected at the cannon, and destroyed it.
