Athena and Marlene get off the train with Beth and take a cab home. All three siblings walk to the front door and knock on it, the door swings open, Meg and jo jump out and scream they bear hug marlene Athena and Beth, jo pulls Athena inside "ThenaI have missed you so much, I have so much to fill you up on about everything" she pulls her to the living room
Marlene puts her bags in the hallway "let the girl breathe jo" meg smiles
Meg grabs Marlene's hand"We are finally all back together" she squeals
Athena looks around "where's mum and nanna?" She says confused
Jo looks in the kitchen "nanna and mum are at the shops I guess" she shrugs her shoulders.
After about an hour later the sound of the door echoes throughout the house, Athena gets up from the table and bolts it to the kitchen to reveal her mother she jumps in her arms and squeezes her and squeeze her "I have missed you so much" she looks at her, Marmee smiles at her daughter
"You won't believe how much I have missed my girls together again" she turns to nanna "look how grown up she looks" she squeezes Athena's cheeks "Nearly taller then me" she says in amaze
Nanna barges her way through "she's always been taller then me" she says. Meg comes running in "the blacks are hosting a ball" she jumps up and down and looks to mother "mother ?" She begs "please can we all go?"
Mother looks at meg "fine but please look after eachover" she walks into the kitchen and hugs Marlene and Beth "but oh girls" she yells from the kitchen
Meg yells "YES MOTHER"
"Remember father writes a letter tomorrow so please make sure your home".
Later that night all of the McKinnon sisters are sitting in megs room getting ready for the party. Jo curling megs hair and Athena finding dresses with Marlene "what about this one" Athena pulls out a pink dress with ruffles on it Beth shakes her head "I think it's too pink" Marlene pulls out a beige one Beth nods "oo I like that one, matches your skin tone perfectly" Meg looks over at Athena
"I have a dress you can wear if you want it?, it's red I think you'll look lovely in it" she nods.
jo gasps and everyone looks over to see her holding a strand of megs hair, jo begins to panic "I'm so sorry" jo mutters Meg looks back at her "what did you do" she feels the back of her hair and lets out a chilling scream "MY HAIR" Athena starts automatically laughing and so does Marlene ,jo grabs megs hands "I told you I shouldn't of done it, I told you Athena should have done it" she points at Athena, Athena looks over at jo still in fits of laughter "BLAME ME FOR BURNING MEGS HAIR OFF"
Meg let's out a little cry "I CAN'T GO ILL BE THE LAUGHING STOCK" she touches the missing strand
Athena walks over to Meg and examines her hair "oh stop moaning, you can barely see it Meg, you have dark hair it will be unnoticeable" she shakes her hair "see I can't even see it" Athena smiles "you look beautiful see" she pushes Meg towards a mirror "see nothing there, you look beautiful Meg"
Meg lets out a smile and kisses her on the cheek "what would I do with out you".
The three sisters enter the ball. Athena looks around to see Lucius Malfoy chatting up Narcissa malfoy "disgusting" Marlene whispers to her sister. Richard carter was in a corner with about 5 other people making them all laugh, he looks at Athena from across the room and yells "YOU ALRIGHT WHITE RABBIT" he says as all of his friends look at the girl and smile. A girl with black curly hair with a black tight fitting dress walking right towards Athena. she smiles and puts out her hand "I'm Bellatrix Black, you must be Athena am I correct?" She shakes her hand with a firm grip
"Oh uh yeah I am" Athena tries to pry her way out of her hand
"I'm regulus's and Sirius's cousin, oh yes they've told me all about you, I've heard your very clever for your age" she says "I like clever, and believe me cleverness will get you so much more power then your attitude" she winks at Athena and
"Right" Athena let's out a a smile
Bellatrix looks at Athena's hair "oh come here you have a leaf in your hair" she pulls out a leaf and throws it on the floor, a familiar voice spoke "you alright Athena" she turns to see Sirius and James behind here "Bellatrix here loves to give people a hard time don't you Bella" he keeps eye contact with her
"Not at all Sirius we were just having a nice old chat weren't we Athena" She looks to Athena,
"Yeah I'm fine" Athena reassure Sirius. Bellatrix smirks "see cousin nothing too worry about, I will be seeing you later" she smiles Athena and gives Sirius a cold glare and struts off "sorry about her, she's absolutely mental, serial killer in the making" Sirius shakes his head "what did she say to you?"
Athena looked back at her "oh she just introduced herself, she wasn't horrible" she looks back at James and Sirius
James coughs "she wasn't like that with me" he glares at her
"What did she say to you?" Athena sees James look back at her "she basically told me that I ruined Sirius reputation and that I'm no good blood traitor" he shrugs his shoulders "oh you know how a usual black family member is", Sirius point to the corner of the room "oh for gods sake Kreacher won't stop following people around" Sirius starts walking away as James follows him sneering "KREACHER" he yells.
Athena starts walking around as she see's snape lock eyes with her he starts walking over to Athena and she starts backing away into a curtain into another room and bumps into someone "oh I'm so sorry" Athena turns around to see the man stand up to reveal regulus
"No worries" he smiles "how comes your not out there" he points outside
She looks back "I don't really know anyone" regulus raises his eyebrows "and what about you mr black" she sits on the sofa "aren't you supposed to be out there"
He takes a seat next to her "let's just say I'm not a sociable person, my mother and father aren't very keen on me dancing with any women at the moment" he rolls his eyes
"Oh I'm sorry" Athena frowns
"Don't be, me and Sirius are used to it by now, so how comes you never talk about your father"
She lets out a sigh "well he's out at war, not a wizarding one either. He has been helping the muggles fight and heal quicker, we miss him of corse but he's doing the right thing"
"Sounds like a brave man" regulus smiles a little he looks down then looks up again "Athenawould you like to dance with me?" She looks up
"I would" Athena sights "but I can't"
"Why not?"
She stands up to reveal a burn on the bottom of her dress "I burned the bottom of my dress and Meg told me not to dance so people won't see it" he looks at her dress as she sits back down "it's funny I know, you can laugh"
Regulus looks outside the window "I think we can manage".
They were both outside of the house close so they could hear the music. Regulus puts out his hand as Athena grabs it, they both start dancing and giggling, regulus spins her around and she spins him Athena runs past the window so nobody could see her "what do I do" regulus whispers smiling
"just do it" Athena whispers back, he spins his way past the window and picks Athena up and swings her, they get to they other side of the house and both jump up and down dancing, Regulus links Athena's arm and start spinning round and round, before they can do anything else there's a knock on the window. They both look to see Meg and jo "my ankle" Meg points "I've hurt it, can we go home?". Athena and Regulus go back into the house and James and Sirius are carrying Meg each side Meg looks at them both "you both can't go yet it's too early" she winced
James nods his head "it's fine Meg honestly, we want to go anyways it's boring, I live just down the road from you it's fine" James reassures her
"I'll come to" regulus says.
They all get outside the McKinnon household, Athena knocks on the door and mother answers it "good gracious what have you done" mother laughs
"Out the way out the way" Athena scoots pass "megs a wounded soldier" the boys carry her in as Beth and nana run down the stairs
"What the hell happened" beth asks
Marlene rolls her eyes "Meg hurt her ankle now we're all staying in" she sits down next to beth
"Oh Meg you'll kill yourself for fashion one of these days" your mother kisses her head
"NANA" jo yells "COULD YOU GET US SOME ICE PLEASE" mother sees Sirius James and regulus there "oh my apologies come in come in" she gestures her hand
"Thank you" Sirius smiles
"Sorry for the chaos" mother stands up "I enjoy baking in the middle of the night" she turns to them "and don't mind the mess boys, we have 7 girls running around this house" she runs to the kitchen
"Sorry about this" Athena looks back at them they all shake their heads
James smiles "I love this family" he sits down on the sofa and so does Sirius "Athena why did you never mention them" he looks amazed as though someone done a trick
Sirius pats him on the shoulder "sorry he's an only child, never seen chaos before" mother comes running in handing all of the boys scones "thank you" they all say
"Ok and ice"mother says "boys do you need ice how are your ankles" she points at them
"No no we're fine thank you miss McKinnon" Sirius shakes his head and glances at mother
She laughs "just call me mother"
Sirius liked this women, he'd never seen a women so homely and treat him like she did, his own mother never smiled at him so much.
Nana looks down at Meg "I told you not to wear those pink shoes" she cackles
Meg puts her hand on her head and laughs "they just looked so good" Athena walks over and puts the ice on megs foot "she's not wrong nana" she giggles
Meg touches her ankle "the ice is so cold"
Athena scoffs "that's what ice is Meg, cold" Athena laughs
All the boys smiled, they've never met a family so chaotic but so fun.
