I ask you how you're doing every day
to make sure that you're doing okay.
I will always respond to your texts
even when I'm not doing my best.
I will listen to everything you have to say,
not leaving until it's out of your way.
I will occasionally give you something
even if you didn't ask for anything.
I will make fun of your hair
and the clothes that you wear.
I pat you on the head when I see you,
or whenever I just want to.
I hope you know that I love you everyday
every time I say "have a good day."
