Mando

Just minutes ago, the Mandalorian had been hiding behind a wall column, hissing at the stupid droid to get out of range of potential threats. He had forgotten about the girl for a second when the droid had shot him, knocking him off of his feet. His focus switched from watching the asset and making sure she didn't run, to anger at the violence thrown at him by this pile of bolts.

Stupid droid. He'd struck a deal with the IG unit to split the reward for the capture of the next asset when a bolt knocks into the droid from behind. The Mandalorian can feel frustration building inside of him as he aims his blaster at the attacker on the roof. He just wants to get this job over with, but he can tell that it just got complicated... even more complicated than it's already been. Just my luck, he grumbles to himself, gritting his teeth as he fires at the rooftop shooter. Upon being hit, the Nikto crumbles off the roof with a groan, hitting the ground in a puff of dust and smoke.

Mando isn't given even a moment of relief as he's suddenly blinded by a flurry of shots that ricochet around him and he lets out a cry of surprise. He presses his back to the column again, letting the stone protect him from the incoming attack. He's seething under the helmet as the droid turns and shoots at the incoming attackers in the middle of broad daylight, with no protection at all.

If this IG unit hadn't just waltzed in here like he owned this place, then we wouldn't be in this situation.

More Niktos appear from various corners and start to surround the bounty hunter and the droid. Mando ducks from a shot and shields his face with his vambrace as he shoots back in the direction it had come from. When he sees the attacker fall, he turns to yell at the droid.

"Let's go!"

More gunmen appear on the roof and a shower of bolts starts to rain down towards the two, forcing Mando to hide behind a column once again. Glancing around for a way out, the Mandalorian pauses when his gaze drifts toward the rocky ledge where he'd ran down from. Someone is missing from this situation.

She's gone... Where did she go?

His brow furrows as he glances around the area, searching for the girl. He racks his brain to remember what the girl had done when he'd left the ledge to approach the droid. Based on the fight that she put up when he caught her, he knows that she can take care of herself. However, he finds himself starting to worry about her well-being when he remembers the injuries that she had retained on Endor. His lips twist into a grimace as he thinks of the way she had held her side trying to hide the injury, as if she didn't want him to see her moment of weakness.

She's too hurt to run away, but I don't know how much her injuries will impact her in a fight.

Mando can't see if she's on the ledge where he had left her, but he doesn't know where else she would go. He feels torn about having caused her injuries. Mando remembers the determination that was in her eyes in their scuffle upon meeting. If the injuries that I caused her is the reason she's killed today... He shakes his head to clear away the thought.

She can take care of herself. If she hadn't stopped to help those Ewoks, then she would've gotten away from you on Endor. She'll be fine.

Refocusing his train of thought on the job at hand, Mando surveys the area, look for places that could shield him from harm. He slowly makes his way through the space towards the hangar doors, ducking behind columns and cargo bins to shield himself when needed. The Mandalorian can hear the beeping of the tracking fob on his belt and he quickly grabs it to check the location of where the asset is hidden. The beeping intensifies when he turns in the direction of the large hangar door next to where he's hiding from incoming fire.
