"Run boy, run."

"What are you doing?" Scott hissed, tapping his foot on the floor in hopes of getting his best friends attention.

Stiles had got up out of nowhere and was now staring at something outside. The whole group were on their feet now, realising what he was looking at. What appeared to be a pair of pliers was lying on the ground, not too far away from them.

Confused for a second, Max looked between the pliers and the buzzcut boy. "Now way, don't even-" he began, but was cut off when Stiles had already opened the doors and was tip-toeing through them.

Everything seemed to be going fairly okay; he was right next to the tool on the ground, his hand only inches away from it and there was no sign of the Alpha so far. But then things weren't going so smoothly. Jade spotted something not too far away from Stiles, by his jeep. A pair of glowing red eyes stared back at her, as she was glued to the spot.

Apparently, Scott had noticed too, when he began to shout, flapping his hands around in the air like a mad man.

"Move for a sec," Jade pulled one of the doors open when she could finally move again, squatting down as she ran.

The animal was gaining ground on Stiles, who was running at full speed towards the school. Reaching out her hand, he grabbed it and she pulled him in to the hall. Slamming the door closed behind them, he grabbed the pliers, wedging the doors shut.

Slapping the boy around the head, she pulled him into a short hug. "You idiot, you could have died."

"I'm fine!" he exclaimed. He hugged the girl back, surprised by her sudden action. She wasn't really one for hugging, or any physical touch for that matter, so it was especially rare when she initiated it.

The group huddled around the door again, peeking through the square window that was positioned at the top. They were trying to see if they could find the Alpha, but he seemed to have gone. Which now led to an even more worrisome question; where was he gone?

"That won't hold, will it?" Max asked nervously, biting his fingernails and swatting away Stiles' hand that was trying to get him to stop.

"Probably not," Scott replied honestly. The odds weren't exactly looking good for them currently; a piece of metal versus a bloodthirsty werewolf. Hm. Let's see.

"Where's the security camera here?" Jade's boots squeaked against the shiny floor as she spun around, trying to find the small device.

"There," Scott pointed down the hall.

Quickly moving her hand, she cut the camera, the red light fading into nothingness. Pausing for a second, she waved her hand again, cutting all of the security cameras in the school. It was better to be safe than sorry. "Move out of the way, please."

The boys reluctantly done what they were told, moving backwards out of the girl's way.

Waving her hand up in the air, and muttering an incantation under her breath, the door started to lock. It wouldn't hold off the Alpha fully, but it would slow him down. Make it harder for him to get through.

The three of them watched in awe as the girl performed her magic. Literally.

Little wisps of purple followed her hands as she moved them in a rhythmic beat. Her eyes started to glow a darker shade of purple, almost as dark as a mauveine. Scott and Stiles noted that purple apparently seemed to be her signature colour whenever she used her powers. A white glow slowly started to outline her body, starting off dark but getting brighter by the second. Pushing her hand down once, the white and purple mix were gone as the doors locked properly with a click.
