Tanjiro's motionless body was found lying next to my kneeling posture. His hands, like mine, were bound behind his back, but I was obviously restrained more. My hands were clasped behind me, and a rope was slung around my chest, stomach, and arms to limit any upper-body movement. The ropes dug into every part of my body, and my feet were securely linked together.

I smirked faintly as I focused my eyes on the hashira in front of me and recognized some familiar faces among them. Some of them sneered at me, while others stared at me with their eyes bulging out of their sockets and their mouths slightly apart as if they were staring at a ghost. Tengen was the most visible of those who were staring at me in this way. As the beads on his headgear swayed in the gentle breeze, he had wide opened lips and huge eyes.

I never complained or struggled in my restraints. In truth, I never said anything to anyone. That made all of the hashira in front of me, especially my friends, extremely wary of my movements, and they were constantly on guard around me.

'Just as I thought. They're scared of me.'  I though as I scan over the hashira individually, making my smirk falter for a second, before returning the way it was before.

After we arrived here, Sanemi disappeared somewhere and left me with the others, who never spoke a word to me, even the ones I knew. Giyuu would give me concerned glances from where he stood, away from the other hashira, and I replied to him with a light smile.

"So, are we going to wake the other one up, or what?" Above us, the one who was lying on a tree branch remarked. He was a short, muscly man with pale skin and a powerful build. He has black hair with straight edges that reaches down to his shoulders and stops at his cheekbones, which he wears down with two shorter strands dangling between his eyes. His almond-shaped eyes have a slight upward slant on the distant sides. His left eye was turquoise and his right eye was yellow. He's dressed in a navy blue variant of the Demon Slayer costume with a black and white pinstriped haori. He also hid his complexion with bandages around his mouth.

The kakushi on the far side stiffened and nodded and bowed lowly. "Of course!" He exclaimed shakily as if he were speaking to a tyrant. He dashed over to Tanjiros' body, and I glared at him from the corner of my eye. When the kakushi noticed my glare, he stiffened up again and refused to acknowledge it, but he failed and remained terrified. "Wake up." He spoke slowly.

"Hey, wake up now." The man repeated. "Wake up." Tanjiro shuffled in his unconscious state, scars still littering his face. "Hey, do you hear me?" The kakushi started to get aggravated at the boy and gritted his teeth. "Hey, damn you! How long are you going to sleep? You better wake up now!" He screamed in Tanjiro's ear, and my glare hardened, alerting most of the hashira.

Tanjiro grunted before slowly opening his eyes and sitting up painfully. Confusion flashed in his eye, but when he met my gaze, I could see the slightest hint of relief.  Tengen spoke up. "I heard a Demon Slayer Corps member was accompanied by a demon. I was looking forward to a flamboyant and amazing person. He ended up being an ordinary guy." He spoke annoyedly. "And to be accompanied by someone like (Y/N)? I thought he would have been someone super flashy." He looked at me with disappointment. "You still have way too low standards, (Y/N)" I deadpanned as Tanjiro stared at me with confusion.
