"We...we should hang out more often."

The lingering of Ayato's voice was stuck in your head. Was it the start of forming a friendship with the two siblings you met?

"Auntie Miko, I want to play another game of tag and seek with the two siblings again."

Miko and you were walking back home to Inazuma city, you couldn't help but form a smile on your face knowing that you might have new friends.

"Oh y/n, I'll take you to Chinju forest whenever I can."

Arriving back at the Shogun's palace, you told  Ei everything about today, how you met Ayaka and Ayato and how the three of you guys played tag and seek.

You were so excited, Ei and Miko couldn't help but laugh at your enthusiasm.

Ei couldn't help but braid your hair carefully, you thought nothing of the Shogun braiding your hair, but to Ei and Miko, they knew the secret message behind Ei braiding your hair.

Back in the day, Ei would braid Makoto's hair. Makoto was Ei's twin. She was the former electro Archon but she was one of the casualties in the cataclysm five hundred years ago.

"Ei...." Miko whispered while watching Ei braid y/n's hair. The shogun might've started growing fond of you as she showed her vulnerable and motherly side that the world of Teyvat would never know the Shogun had.

As many days passed, Miko and you would often meet up with the two siblings. You and the siblings would play one of many Inazuma's traditional winter games.

Miko would often sit by a nearby bench, editing books and doing what her responsibilities called for her.

After all, she had to put in her best work, or else the Yae publishing book house wouldn't stand where it is today.

Snow began to fall, Chinju forest was always so magical especially when the snow started to fall from the sky.

Ayaka jumped all over the place, pointing to the sky, "Y/n!! Ayato!! Look, look! Snow is falling!!"

"It looks so magical!! I wonder what it tastes like." You quickly stuck your tongue out, trying to catch a few snowflakes, "It tastes like nothing-"

"Snow is water and water doesn't taste like anything except water."

"Aw Ayaka, I was hoping it would taste like rainbow or magic fairy dust." You were bummed out that the snow didn't taste like some sort of flavor but then again the imagination of a six-year-old child is quite wild.

"Ayaka, Ayato!"

A tall, very sophisticated-looking man was walking towards you and the siblings.
"Father-" Ayaka ran up to the man,
"We need to go." The siblings' father took Ayaka's hand and Ayato followed.

"See you later y/n!"

You couldn't help but notice the Father's face looked gloomy, he looked like he was hiding something.
The snow started falling harder, and the breeze was getting colder. Was it hinting at a turn of events or was y/n just overthinking?

—Ayaka's P.O.V—

Father looked unusually concerned. Ayato didn't know what was going on either.
