Chapter 45: The culprit

ALEX POV

While the car was speeding along this familiar road, I closed  my eyes.

flashes of images continuesly appeared in my mind.

disturbing pictures..

I still can't believe that our squad will be defeated like butchered pigs! We are powerful. Paano nangyaring natalo sila ng walang kalaban laban! I trained them so hard for the times like this.

"Ate, are you okay?" Billy asked worriedly.

I opened my eyes and looked at his innocent face. I felt like my heart is being squeezed.

I smiled and said. "Ate is okay, Billy"

He nodded and smiled.

I saw Red also looked at me worriedly.

"ba't kanina ka pa tahimik Boss?" Dylan asked

I sighed and answered.. "bakit? palagi ba akong maingay?"

He laughed and said. "Oo boss, konti nalang iisipin ko ng may ADHD ka"

I rolled my eyes at him. Billy and Red smiled.

Tinitigan ko ng mabuti si Dylan. He has powerful ability but in the end, he died.

Kung hindi ako nag kakamali. Dylan can only see pictures, not entirely watch what will happened in the future. Unless his ability is upgraded, what he can only see is limited.

"bakit ganyan ka makatingin?" He asked suspiciously.

"Dylan.." I stopped what i was trying to say and said "nevermind"

this is not the right place. I will talk to him later.

"ang weird mo ngayon"

i remained silent and watch outside the window. after a few minutes.

"stop the car Red" I said calmly

she stopped the car full of curiousity in her eyes.

"Dylan, ask Nica, to use her ability to see and check that area" I pointed too lazy to explain more.

I wanted to just go and change our route but I need them to practice their ability more.

"yes boss"

Bumaba kaming lahat ng sasakyan. Puno ng pag tatakang tumingin sila sa akin.

I smiled and explained. "Kapag nasa mission kayo, kailangan nyong pakiramdaman ang paligid at dapat doble ingat. just imagine, if we passed that intersection, and found out that there are hordes from all direction what will you do?"

I sighed. "You can only ran back and look for other route. but what if there's no more time? there are a lot possibilities in this mission. we may face thousands of zombies, mutants or worst, malicious awakeneds. Use your abilities and train it as much as possible so you can use it for practical combat"

They all looked at me and nodded.

"Ah!" we all heard Nica shouted and looked at me anxiously.

"calm down. tell me what you see!"

she nodded and answered nervously. "There are I think, thousands of z-zombies, 5 Kilometers from here!"

"how many! I need accurate number and location as much as possible!" madiin kong tanong.

I felt frustrated.

I can't help but to get mad. at someone, at something.. i don't know.

They all looked at me in surprise.
