We sit on the ground and I get the game out of my bag. I also hand Wanda the watch and the new book and our fingers touch for a second and it feels like little electric impulses shoot through my body from my fingers.
Luckily she doesn't seem to notice my reaction and is too occupied with the book in her hands.

"It sounds great, thank you." She says after reading the short summary on the back.
I smile as a reply and she puts the book and the watch on the bed next to her. Her attention shifts to me and she watches me preparing the game.

We start to play and I first thought it would be awkward but it isn't and we laugh while playing. It's fun to just play and enjoy it without having to worry what others might think because here it's just the two of us.
We play a few rounds and she's pretty good at it. I laugh after she won the third time and lift my hands in surrender.
"I think you are the official champion of this game, at least for tonight." I laugh and she smiles widely and it feels great to see her this happy.

"It was my favorite game as a child." She explains and looks like she thinks about her childhood.
"Were you as good as today?" I ask and she smiles absentmindedly.
"No, my brother won most of the time." She recalls and her smile drops suddenly and she watches her hands.
I'm a little unsure on how to react and what to do, so I shuffle a little closer but keep enough distant because I don't want to make her uncomfortable.

"Do you want to talk about something?" I ask, unsure on what goes through her mind at the moment.
Her eyes search for mine until they find them and lock. She nods slowly and gets up to sit on her bed. I follow her movements and watch as she collects her thoughts.

"His name was Pietro, we were twins." She starts and takes a deep breath. The past tense gives me a hint on why she's probably sad. "We grew up in Sokovia with our parents. After their death, he was the only family I had. We were really close and protected each other. He always knew what I needed and cheered me up when I was sad. He was with me when we met the Avengers during the battle against Ultron. We fought with them and close to the end, when I thought it was almost over..."

She pauses and breathes in shakily, her eyes starting to get teary. "I suddenly felt pain in my heart and I knew he was gone. It was like the string that always connected us got cut. I cried out loud and the moments after that are in a blur. Before they locked me up down here, I saw his body...he got shot multiple times while he was trying to save someone..." Her voice cracks and a sob shakes her body.

My heart clenches a little and I feel bad for all the things she went through.
"He sounds like a hero." I say silently and Wanda nods, wiping a few tears away but new ones keep coming.
I bite my lip and think about hugging her but I'm not sure how comfortable she would be with that.
She scootches a little closer and leans a bit in my direction which I take as a silent sign to comfort her. I close the gap between us and pull her into a hug. She buries her face in my shoulder and cries silently as I hold her and rub slow circles on her back to comfort her.

One hand goes up to her hair and I brush over it lightly and she slowly calms down. The sobs get less heavy and her breathing slows down to a normal pace. After a little while longer she pulls away a little and I look into her red, puffy eyes. The sight of them makes me sad, I don't like seeing her this way but I feel honored she decided to show me this side of her.

"Thank you." She whispers and wipes away the last few remaining tears. "I never really got the chance to talk to someone about him and it all bottled up and I wanted to be strong and not cry but it became too much and I feel comfortable around you and needed to tell someone about him." She rambles and my stomach jumps happily at the fact that she feels comfortable around me.
