The Girl Who Conquered, Leilani Alula Potter, had had enough of the Wizarding World. She and her best friend Hermione have decided to leave the Wizarding World for good. Leilani had been labeled many things since the end of the Second Wizarding War. From the conquering heroin to the next Dark Lady, it was the label of "Attention Seeking Whore" that drew the last straw. A title that was so graciously given by a jealous, red-faced Ronald Weasley when Lei refused to keep him in the limelight.

Hermione Granger had dragged Leilani back to Hogwarts for their eighth year instead of taking the offers from the Ministry. During the school year, Hermione and Lei would keep to themselves, they wanted to have a quiet year this time around. The year flew by without any real incidents, except a rude encounter with some of the Weasley family during Winter Hols.

That incident showed the family's true colors. Molly, Ronald, and Ginny were very rude to Leilani and Hermione while the rest of the family ignored everything. The whole thing started when Hermione turned down Ronald's proposal due to him being caught cheating by The Daily Prophet. Molly kept making remarks that it is a wizard's right to be with whomever, even when married. Arthur could be seen shaking his head, shamed by his wife's actions. It was well known that once a witch was intimate with anyone she was bound to him for life. The witch would never be able to be with anyone else, ever. This did not apply to muggle women, which is who Ron was caught with.

During that first year after the war ended, there were many trials and funerals. There were so many funerals within the first few weeks that they blurred together. Only a few stick out in both Hermione's and Lei's minds. The funerals of Remus Lupin, his wife Tonks, and a week later their son Teddy who died in his sleep from an unknown cause. Lei felt the loss of Teddy was the beginning of her making the decision to leave the Wizarding World. She discussed this with Hermione and they both agreed to go together. Both of them had attended almost every trial as either a witness or just a spectator.

Ronald Weasley was asked to be a witness with them but he refused, stating, "All Death Eaters belong in Azkaban or dead." Lei had testified for the Malfoys. She had revealed that if it wasn't for Narcissa lying to Voldemort, the war would have been lost. Narcissa Malfoy nee Black went on to carry out her sentence of house arrest with no wand for two years. Hermione had submitted evidence behind closed doors that Lucius was supplying the Order with locations and names days before any attacks would occur. Lucius spent one year in Azkaban, was heavily fined, and no wand for two years. Both witches testified that Draco Malfoy was a minor and was forced to act out of fear for his family's safety and wellbeing. Draco was ordered to return to Hogwarts for his final year, only using his wand during class and exams, then two years of house arrest with no wand.

The outcome of several more trials had shocked the Wizarding World. Due to the Minister of Magic wanting to give a fair trial to every accused, they were all given a medical exam, as well as scans from curse breakers. Quite a few Death Eaters were found to have recently broken compulsions, magic blocks, and potions keyed to hatred of the "light side" and loyalty to the Dark Lord. The biggest shock was Fenrir Greyback. He had been under several compulsions the longest. So bounty hunter turned werewolf was considered one of the most vicious, cannibalistic, dark creatures when really he had no control. During his trial, Fenrir could not keep his eyes off Hermione. When Hermione had caught him looking at her, his eyes held no hatred, no contempt, but sadness and something else she couldn't identify. His trial ended with a life sentence in Azkaban. Fenrir hung his head in shame, it was the least he deserved and he knew it.

Hermione felt sorry for the werewolf, she decided to write him, asking why he kept looking at her. Greyback told Hermione that when the trio was captured and taken to Malfoy Manor, he wanted to take her and run. She was his mate, and he didn't want her hurt but was unable to act. Over the space of two and a half almost three years, Hermione had grown to like the real Fenrir, and she told him of her and Lei's plan to leave the wizarding world. In those two, almost three years, Hermione and Lei fought for the right to visit Azkaban and some of its prisoners. It was during one of these visits they would break Greyback out then leave the Wizarding World.

Both Lei and Hermione currently work in the Time and Interdimensional Travel Department. The two women fell into a comfortable routine as they do every day since joining this department. When both witches started working for the Ministry, they were in different departments. Hermione had a small cubicle in the Dept for the Regulation and Control of Magical Creatures, and she hated it. She was treated like a gopher running errands for the head of the department. There was one thing she loved about her position, all the magical creatures she has rescued. Hermione would smile and think of Luna Scamander whenever she rescued another. She was even provided with a briefcase that the Scamanders' were famous for carrying, it housed all the rescues peacefully with plenty of space. She named it Hermione's Sanctuary.

Leilani spent the first year as an Auror. She also very much disliked being an Auror. The Ministry never gave her real cases, only petty criminal offenses, like that of a shop getting robbed in Diagon Alley. Or the Minister of Magic would send her as a spokesperson for foreign affairs since Lei was declared the poster girl for the Second Wizarding War. Leilani did love and excelled during training, she learned so much.

Then, one day during lunch, Hermione and Lei were sitting in the lunchroom, chatting quietly while eating about their jobs and how they were unhappy. An Unspeakable was scanning the lunchroom as they usually do for any kind of trouble when they couldn't help but tune in to what the witches were saying. The Department of Mysteries had expanded a few sections on level nine and needed a few more people. They got up from their seat and passed by the witches' table, nonchalantly dropping a small business card on their table as he passed.

Hermione picked it up while Lei watched the retreating back of the Unspeakable. They wasted no time and headed down to level nine before the end of lunch break. By the end of the day, both Hermione and Leilani were moved from their old positions to the Department of Mysteries: Time and Interdimensional Travel. The witches couldn't help but give each other a smirk a Malfoy would be proud of as an idea flowed through their heads.

The idea of leaving the Wizarding World with just the clothes on their backs made the two witches cringe. The two of them spent countless months charming several bags with undetectable extension charms, feather-light charms, retrieval charms (bag would return to the owner immediately if lost or stolen), and a few others. Each bag was assigned to a property Leilani had acquired after the war. From the Potter side of the family, there was Potter Manor and Godric's Hollow.

The Black side of the family had several properties. Some of which Lei had given to Andromeda Tonks nee Black and Narcissa Malfoy nee Black to use any way they please. Even though Leilani did not reveal her plans of leaving, the two older women saw how the world was treating their "Hero" and knew Lei was going to disappear. Lei had packed all libraries and some furniture from Black Dog (the home Sirius was supposed to inherit if he never rebelled), and Grimmauld Place. Kreature had been sent to the Malfoys to help in the kitchen until the end of his days. It was a great compromise and Lei had never seen the house-elf so happy.

A sober and well-dressed Winky had vowed to stay with Leilani, along with another house-elf that Hermione had removed from an abandoned manor once owned by the Notts'. His name was Pip, a very eager-to-please elf who has helped keep everything organized and clean as they were packing. The last stop before the final visit to Fenrir was Gringotts. To say the goblins were displeased with the closure of several accounts held by Leilani Potter was an understatement. She had cleared out everything, although, the goblins demanded some goblin-made artifacts be returned. Before leaving the bank, most of the money was converted to muggle currency.
