┊𖤐₊˚. ࿐ྂ。Bloom woke to the clattering of drawing curtains and the sunlight spilling into the room. Bloom yawned and stretched her body, it suddenly feeling stiff. She was on the floor and she frowned not questioning it just being confused as to why she was on the floor. Her mother moved about, picking up the dirty laundry and fairy book she had read last night. Her room wasn't the cleanest for a girl but it wasn't as dirty as anyone would expect it to be. Bloom usually picked out clothes to dress in and she always forgets to put them back in her closet.
Bloom stared at her mom. Vanessa was a warm, and gentle woman, small in stature but known by everyone who met her as having a big heart. She owned and ran the town’s flower store, but also helped tend to the various community gardens, just one of her many volunteering works. Vanessa was eternally patient, and a hard worker, always counted on to pitch in or lend a hand when needed. She was Bloom's role model.
Vanessa picked the book up and she stared down at her daughter. She glanced up at the bed to see that it was unmade. Bloom couldn't see the whole bed since it was pretty high up from the floor. “How did I end up on the floor?”
“I'm wondering the same thing,” Vanessa responded as she stared at the girl who was sleeping in Bloom's bed. The girl frowned wondering what her mom was staring at when it suddenly dawned on her.
Everything that happened yesterday came crashing down on her. Her eyes were wide and her mouth was agape as she stared at her mother. She had completely forgotten that she brought Stella to her house.“I can explain.”
“You better have a great explanation. Freshen up and meet me downstairs,” Vanessa told her daughter before she left after placing the book on Bloom's desk. The redhead groaned, falling back down. She couldn't believe she had forgotten about Stella. Why didn't she lock her door when she came out of the shower last night?
Ten minutes later exactly after Bloom had freshened up, Bloom was hurrying down the stairs and after poking her head into the guest room to try and get Andy to helped her out she found the boy fast asleep. She couldn't count on him helping her out of this situation.
Her father sat at the table reading a newspaper. Mike, blonde and fair skinned, was a firefighter at Gardenia’s one and only firehouse. A little bit more of a realist, compared to his wife and daughter at least, Mike liked to joke as much, but believed in the things he could see, hear, and touch. He was the complete opposite of his wife and daughter.
Bloom had joined him at the table and she started scooping scrambled eggs and bacon on her plate but paused when she felt two pairs of impatient eyes on her. She glanced up to find her parents looking at her expectantly. By the looks of it her mother had already told her father of Stella who was in her room.
“What?” she asked innocently, setting the pan of bacon back down on the table.
Vanessa fought down a smile. “Bloom.”Bloom blinked at her mom. “Oh right, the girl.” Bloom racked her brain trying to think of something to say. She could make up a lie or she could tell them the truth. At the moment neither would work on her parents.
“Well you see… the thing is, I guess….” she stammered over her words trying to get her words out. Her parents impatient eyes was not helping the situation at all. “Okay, Andy and I met her yesterday in the park,” Bloom said slowly. It was better to involve Andy in this so both of them can get punished and not her alone.
