"Your honour i would like to call Mr Karan Kundrra in the witness box " The prosecution , Mr Vikram Dixit stated.
Karan got up , internally fretting, and stood in the witness box. He looked over at Tejasswi sitting on the opposite side , engrossed in a discussion with Rohit.

" Ms. Rashmi was your co-star right ? " Karan nodded and Vikram continued
" So tell me how was your relation with her ? " He asked curiously

Vikram's question made Teja shift her attention ."She was playing the female lead opposite me and we bonded quite well during the shoot " He answered holding the railing of the box to keep his calm.

"How long did the shoot take Mr Kundrra? "

" Almost 2 months" He didn't know in which direction was this going but replied nonetheless

"So you got this close to Ms Rashmi Desai to pose like this with her in just 2 months ? " On the screen were their papped pictures and videos

"I am an actor by profession, we are instructed to pose the way they want us to " He was so close to lose his shit and bang the prosecution's head .

"Okay, What about this then? You weren't an actor at this time . Seems like you knew her well way before entering the insustry " The next few pictures drained the blood out of his face .

The pictures were of him and Rashmi hanging out while their fathers were together in business meetings. He didn't know they would go to the extent of finding his old pictures with Rashmi .

He looked at Teja and she blinked in assurance to him . She knew this wasn't even half of how dirty the prosecution can get .

"Care to explain Mr Kundrra? " Vikram smirked . Karan took last glance at Teja. Her assurance gave him the courage to tell everything he had narrated to Teja during their meeting a day back .

"My father and her father have been quite good friends so they wanted us to gel as well . Rashmi would accompany her father whenever he came to our house or office for meetings . We instantly clicked and bonded over our love for acting and hate for the boring business meetings " He cleared his throat and looked at her for a bit . Seeing no reaction from her side ,he continued

"I had just started my career at that time and was struggling to get projects . I discussed this with her . She indirectly helped me . She was doing well already and posted a picture with me on her instagram . I remember getting a call from Ekta ma'am's team . She liked me and casted me for her show and from then everything went well . After that , life got busy and we just met at award shows or parties but there also we didn't interact much " He took a deep breathe after completing

Teja looked at him with a blank face , asked " And? " after a few minutes of silence .

"That was it . I told you everything there was to " He said irritatingly . What else did she want ?

" You want me to believe you guys went from meeting and talking to each other almost daily to not even interacting at social gatherings? " She asked with a mocking tone . She wasn't a newbie after all . She knew when a client was withholding information

.Karan shut his eyes tightly due to embarrassment. There was no point denying the truth , she'll try to get it out anyway

"As i said our fathers wanted us to bond , turns out it was because they had already planned to get us married . The day dad revealed to me , I confronted Rashmi and asked her if she knew about all this or not "
