Family. Tessa cherished family. Even at times when she thought she couldn't stand to be around her family, she was always brought back to them. Laughing as if nothing had happened, because she knew no matter what she did, she would always have her family.
Thats why she took up the offer to go to The Encino Oak Country Club for dinner while Daniel talked to Armand, a businessman, about the Reseda strip mall. Tessa had no idea what he was talking about it, but the entire family all had to go.
"By the way, thanks for coming you two." Amanda spoke to Tessa and Sam as they stood in front of the Buffet. "I thought you were gonna be out with your friends tonight." Amanda said, directing the conversation to Sam.
"Yeah, um... I don't know. Yas and Moon haven't been returning my text." Sam gloomily spoke.
"Well, maybe it's for the better that you're not hanging out with them." Tessa said, trying not to sound happy that there were ignoring her.
"We were supposed to go to a concert together, and then I saw this." Sam spoke, grabbing her phone from her pocket as she showed Amanda and Tessa a video.
"Yeah, I agree with Tessa. Maybe it's better that you're not there with them." Amanda spoke skeptically. "Anyways were always happy to have— Anthony! Stop drinking the butter!" She said while staring at Anthony, who was in fact drinking a cup of butter while sitting next to Armond's child. "I'm gonna." Amanda stopped as she waved her hands around in frustration. "Let's get your brother."
Tessa walked up to the table Anthony sat at, putting her plate of food down as she took a seat. "Hey little man." Tessa spoke to her brother, ruffing up his hair.
"What are you doing, Tessa?" Anthony annoyingly spoke, moving his hands up to his hair as he fixed it.
"Your mom told me I had to make sure you don't drink the butter." Tessa explained, taking a piece of the shrimp off of her plate as she ate it.
"She's not your mom too?" The boy who sat next to Anthony asked with a confused look.
"I don't have the same mom as him, where technically only half siblings." Tessa said as she covered her mouth with her hand as she continued to eat.
"Oh, we'll back to what I was saying before. My dad is better than your dad because he owns buildings." The boy said as he looked at Anthony.
"Our dad owns cars." Anthony replied nonchalantly, pointing to himself and his sister. Tessa watched the two argue, leaning back in her chair as she crossed her arms over her chest, an amused grin stuck on her face.
"My dad make more money than your dad."
"Our dad knows karate and could kill your dad." Anthony said, instantly making the boy shut up.
