A month has gone by since Milim arrived and things were progressing in multiple fields. The crops have grown nicely thanks to the occasional showers mysteriously appearing over the fields, leading to the rumor that the Storm Dragon may be watching over the city. Kaijin and Vest have taken an interest in developing some of the technologies I have brought up to them, including but not limited to chainsaws, sewing machines, the mass production of coke, a lathe, and the beginnings of a steam engine.

When Rimuru asked, in private, what I planned to do with the steam engine, after first having me clear what I meant by coke the fuel, not drink or drug, I smacked him with the idea of a railroad between Dwargon and Jura. Rimuru has hesitant, saying that it was a leap at the moment, and annoyingly I had to agree. We simply don't have the need yet, once more people wish to travel between the two and trade between the two governments are made, then we could start the groundwork.

With training done for the moment, no other useful knowledge to give, I decided to give Ramiris a visit. It was one of the few days where I wasn't actively keeping an eye on Milim to make sure she didn't break anything or anyone, myself included. I didn't really need to be with her all the time, she's been well-behaved, holds back when she punches Gobta for saying something stupid and has been getting along with Shion. Mostly.

That's when it happened. I was at the edge of the city when I both saw and heard a loud explosion directed into the sky. Rapidly making my way to the scene, I was met by Souei who apologized for not warning Rimuru or me about the intruders.

"When the presumed leader mentioned how the city was worthy of a Demon Lord Carrion's rule, Rigurd thought he wasn't serious," Souei explained before gesturing to Rigurd.

I walked over and as Rigurd turned I saw that half his face was as if he had been dragged on asphalt, "There's nothing to worry about Lord F/N."

"Uh-huh, all the same," I looked to Souei, "Find Rimuru and get a potion for Rigurd. As for the guy who did this, I'll-" I walked over to the intruders and saw Milim standing over the body of one of them, the other three merely standing in shock, "Deal with Milim."

"Understood," Souei ran off.

Milim, upon noticing me, ran over with a cheerful smile, "F/N! Don't worry, I gave them the proper punishment for looking down on us."

Rigurd spoke up, "She shielded me. Please don't be too hard on her."

"Milim," I reminded her, "We have a rule about jumping into a situation and going wild, right?"

Milim became nervous, "Ah, but- but I did nothing wrong!"

I raised my hand to stop her, "I'm not reprimanding you. I'm just reminding you to consider the situation."

Milim was surprised and hesitant, "Really? You're not going to threaten to take away lunch or dessert?"

"Not this time, but maybe next time. For now, if these guys are connected to a different Demon Lord and they have business with us, then we have to handle it," I stated before patting her on the head.

Rimuru showed up at the scene after visiting Vest, he had finally managed to produce a healing potion like the ones Rimuru makes. An event that would normally call for some celebration, if not for the troublesome guests we now have to deal with. Changing locations, the four troublemakers, Rimuru in slime form, myself, Benimaru, Rigurd, and Milim gathered in the main building. Besides Rimuru and I, the only other one seated at the large table was the leader of the group. Milim was on the couch, enjoying the lunch I made for her.

"So what did you guys come here for?" Rimuru asked,

The leader, a young-looking man with tan skin, cat tail, and pointed ears was not interested, "I don't intend to tell the likes of a slime or majin."
