In the underground of the Western Continent. Yuriel and his group kept on trailing the path of the stairs.
They've been walking for more than 10 minutes however there's still no process.
They still can't see the ends of the staircase and the oxygen around them are getting dense that it's almost hard to breathe normally.
"Haa.... I can't go on anymore..." marco said as his legs gave out like paper. Among the three of them, Marco is the weakest when it comes to using his body but he was actually stronger than Rio if they fight using magic only.
"Sighs.... Let's rest for now." Yuriel spoke as he also sat down on the stair while Rio was just leaning on the wall while gazing at the path they need to take.
"....I still can't seem to feel that we're even getting closer to the end of the stairs..." Rio calmly spoke what's in his mind and yuriel nodded in agreement.
Like what the book states about the cave. The stairs seems to have no ends at all.
Yuriel found out about this when he was reading a very old book that is on the deepest part of the library that no one seems to care about.
When he first opened it, he didn't expect that it contains many information about each continent. Unlike the ones he have read, The book is more of a real life experience of the author himself.
He stayed in the library for a whole day just to understand and finish the book which is a big help for him.
The first one he found out is there's an underground maze on the Western Continent that is just near the border. It stated that many people tried to uncover the mystery of the maze but they all died and for those who survived, it's either they are mentally disabled or some of their body parts are gone because of the danger they faced inside.
But what makes it even more mysterious is that those who survived actually forgot what the maze look like, it's as if their memories are forced to be forgotten by an unknown force.
Yuriel was planning to borrow the book from the library so he out it on the table he is using and tried to find some books again before he leaves.
But just a minute passed, the book from the table vanished into thin air.
Yuriel tried to find it again but he couldn't. He even asked the librarian if he knows about the book but when he was about to open his mouth. He forgot what the book's title is. Except for the author's name.
He asked if the librarian know about a book that is made by Roland Grimburgh but it seems that she doesn't know anything about such author despite being in the library for almost a decade.
With a sullen expression. He left the library with a heavy heart.
Even until now, he is still wondering why the book suddenly vanished but he still didn't think of it hard since his first priority is the blessing.
"Hm... What is this thing..."
Yuriel's consciousness came back after he heard the necromancer's voice and glanced at him.
Only to see that he was pressing a small button on his side.
"Wha- Dont!--"
