Backstory:
Y/N and Aladdin were born to Cassim and Zena, citizens of the kingdom of Agrabah. Due to their struggling background, Cassim left Agrabah shortly after they were born in hopes of finding a better way to provide for his family. Due to this, they never met or knew their father, believing he was dead and was given a dagger and a sword as their only memento. A few years later, their mother passed away, leaving them orphans and forced to fend for themselves. By the time Cassim returned, he couldn't find his family, believing them to be dead, resulting in him leaving Agrabah out of despair, where he'd eventually become a leader of the infamous Forty Thieves, though this would remain unknown to Aladdin and Y/N for an extended number of years. Due to being orphaned so early, Y/N had to find a way to make a living for her and her brother to survive. She was forced to steal food with her brother in order to survive in the streets of Agrabah.
One day, she was caught stealing by the women who were washing clothes. She apologized to them and just wanted something to eat and something to stay warm and begged them for anything she can do. They kindly accepted her apology and that's when she begins to learn how to work as she was taught with formal education and had a positive role model to guide her through life. She also learned how to defend for herself from observing some men whenever she caught them fighting, learning how to sword fight, and more.. She even received money for doing such a good job. Unlike her brother, he steals and she doesn't accept it and tries to get him to at least work. But it's his choice and she still loves and cares for him, willing to support him.
