Charlie Conway ~ Besties

Walking out of my last class for the day my eyes zeroed in on my best friend Charlie standing at his locker talking to Banksie. He was looking pretty good. I stopped dead in my tracks, did I really just say that about him?

He's basically been my brother since we were about 10 and now I'm checking him out. Now that I think of it I've been doing it a lot, we'll just be hanging out and I'll just stare at his cute smile or get lost in his baby blue eyes. I shake my head, I'm totally blaming it on my teenage hormones since it's the only plausible explanation.

I couldn't actually... like him, could I? The thought panics me, so I turn around and hurry out the door.

Charlie's POV
"Hey why is y/n literally running out the door?" I look over to where Adam is gesturing and see y/n almost sprinting out the door. "Honestly who knows with that girl." I chuckled.

You could never guess as to what y/n was doing, but what I do know is that I always had the best time with her. She's fun as hell, It's what I love about her.

Adam clicked his fingers at me snapping me out my trance "Daydreaming about your girlfriend?" He smirked. "Ha ha very funny." I rolled my eyes at his comment. "Oh come on, you like her, you know you do, you just won't admit it." Pfft as if.

"Yeah of course I like her.. as a friend, I mean she's my best friend." Adam feigned sadness. "Well ouch I know where I stand. Fine if that's how you really feel then you wouldn't mind if I asked her out then?" I felt anger bubbling up at the thoughts of Adam and y/n on a date, I couldn't bear to think about her with anyone but me. I shake my head, What was I thinking? liking y/n would just make things messy, she only sees me as friend and I wouldn't want to ruin our friendship. "Yeah of course man, do what you want just treat her right."

Y/n's POV
I was flicking through the tv channels aimlessly thinking about Charlie. I'm kind of freaking out, what if he doesn't like me like that. I don't want to fuck up our friendship so I have to try keep my crush to myself. I'm so bad at hiding my feelings so I'm not making it easy on myself anyway.

I'm interrupted from my thoughts by a knock on the door. I go over and open it "Oh hey Charlie." I gesture him in and we sit on the sofa.
"You practically ran out the door today, I didn't even get to talk to you." I blush thinking of an excuse. "Yeah women's problems." I lied to him "Oh okay, do you want me to get you anything?" He's so sweet "Nah I'm good, maybe you could  just cuddle me?" I may as well use this to my advantage and get some sort of action from him.

He smiles at me and wraps arm around me and rests his head on mine. I feel butterflies from his actions. I tried to concentrate on the tv, hoping to calm down my racing heart before Charlie noticed.

"Y/N can I ask you something?" I turn to him "Of course" He sighed "How do you feel about Banks?" Weird, why is he bringing up Banksie? "Umm he's a good friend why?" I questioned. "So you don't like him as anything more than a friend?" Oh my god is he trying to set me up with Adam? I guess he really doesn't feel the way I do and it feels like shit.

I shook my head "No." I said simply feeling deflated "No?" He smiled at me- is he making fun of me now or something. "No Charlie I'm interested in someone else" his smile dropped "Oh.. cool."

He scratched the back of his head "I better be heading home" he got up and headed towards the door . It's now or never "I'm interested in you Charlie." He stopped just at the door and slowly turned around to look at me.

"What?" He asked me "I think I'm in love with you Conway" I smiled at him.
He stayed silent and I felt my stomach drop until he marched right over to me and kissed me with so much passion- Instant butterflies.

After a few minutes of making out we pulled away "So I'll take that as you like me?" I asked him smiling. "Yeah I guess so" he laughed, then looked at me seriously. "I love you y/n." My heart was bursting "I love you too."
