"I wanted to talk to you about everything that happened yesterday." Inue said, taking out a notebook. Sanyu used to find that unnerving, but he'd come to to realize the man just wanted to look things over later, get the details right.

"I'm sorry." The boy began. Inue looked over to him.

"Why do you say that?".

Sanyu was baffled. Wasn't it obvious? "I punched him in the face. Recovery Girl probably had to fix it." He said. "I shouted at him and Midoriya. I told them all those things that I shouldn't have, I had an...attack of some sort? Its all my fault.".

"A lot of things are your fault then, are they?" Inue asked, trying and failing to keep his tone causal. They underlying sympathy in his voice was unmistakable.

"They are." Sanyu confirmed. So, so many things.

"Well rest assured that Bakugou is fine and your rant did more good than harm." The therapist explained. "I met with both of them earlier to discuss their own faults and wrongdoings last night. They told me a few things about your words that I'd like to bring up.".

Sanyu nodded and gestured for the man to continue.

"You mentioned 'live human beings as target practice'." The man said, borderline chocking on the words. Sanyu stiffened, suddenly feeling very unsafe.

Captain made his presence once again known by bumping Sanyu's hand, reminding him to keep petting the bunny. Sanyu obliged easily.

"They really do help a lot." Inue commented. "So, this was part of the abuse you suffered?".

Sanyu nodded. He wouldn't use the word 'abuse'. It wasn't something done to him, he did it.

Seeing that he wasn't going to get a verbal response about that topic, Inue moved to the next. "Something that stood out to Midoriya, at least, was the mention of the kiss. We haven't spoken about romantic love since the incident.".

There were a lot of incidents, but Sanyu knew which one the man was referring to.

He had never wanted to talk about it before but in that moment it had just slipped out.

Along with everything else.

"It was Lela." He began, his voice coming out distorted from how constricted his throat was. Inue's expression turned sadder, but he didn't speak. He just gave Sanyu all the time he needed to get everything in order.

"She died protecting us." He explained. "She died outside the bunker. The government had found us. They wanted someone to take the fall, we were it. If the freaks were the ones to take the blow then they could continue doing what they were doing without anybody stopping them.".

"I-" He stopped, taking a shallow breath. "I wasn't fast enough. I absorbed the missile but it hurt so much I couldn't move. I almost drowned-I think. I don't know. I was coughing up water everywhere and because of that I wasn't fast enough.".

"She was bleeding out when I got there. Someone had shot her. I landed and the impact knocked everyone back a lot. I had no control over the new energy." He continued. His eyes misted over.

"I remember how red the snow was, where she was sitting. She always hated the snow. She was born in Syria, but she was raised in Virginia. Not too hot not too cold." He knew he was rambling now but just like the night before its like he lost the ability to stop himself. Tears welled in the corners of his eyes. "Always said she wasn't built for cold.".

"She just looked up at me and-she smiled. I tried to pick her up but-I hurt her. I burned her with my powers. She said she didn't wanna get up after that, just wanted to catch-to catch her breath." He took a shaky breath of his own. "She asked me to kiss her." The words were spoken so quietly they were only audible to Hound Dog's enhanced hearing.
