Ch. 7 "Trouble"

                                               Peyton POV 

I was just getting redressed from dance class lacing my shoes. stuffing my clothes in my duffel bag. 

I didn't bother waiting for Peter. I was too excited. you see me and Bucky over the past few days have grown quite close. 

Sure I'm the one doing a lot of the talking. and sure I don't shut up. but he still smiles and listens to me. 

And sometimes I do get a chuckle out of him. 

But I have no time to wait for Peter. I can't wait to tell Bucky. 

Sure it's not the smartest thing to do a six year old walking through New York. past six o'clock in the afternoon. 

Yeah it's a bad idea but I'm sure I'll be fine. I thought as I ran down the side walk towards the tower. 

Okay more like sprinting. 

I run in the lobby only to be lifted from behind. 

"Whoa, Whoa where's the fire?" Nat said 

"Huh?" I said tilting my head 

"Don't huh me you were sprinting like the city was on fire." She said 

"And where is Peter?" She said 

"Umm what?" I said 

"You heard me where is your brother?" She said 

I just shrugged. 

Her eyes got wide. 

"Did you come here by yourself?" She said 

"Does a Dalmatian have spots?" I asked 

She looked at me like I had three heads. 

I giggled 

"Lets go little lady." She said taking me to the elevator 

"Well I was heading that way anyway." I said smiling 

She just shook her head. 

Once the elevator opened she walked past the living room. 

Uh oh. I know exactly where she's taking me. 

"Umm Uh come to think of it. look at the time." I said looking at my wrist pretending there was a watch on it. 

"Aunt May should be making dinner right about now." I said trying to squirm out of her arms. 

"Oh no you don't." She said her grip tightening 

We enter Tony's office where he's on the phone. 

"Cancel that She just walked in my office I'll call you back kid." Tony said hanging up the phone

Nat set me down. 

"Well kid you seemed to give your brother a heart attack." Tony said standing up 

"Huh?" I said tilting my head. 

"Don't huh me." He said walking towards me. 

"Nat could you give us a minute." Tony said 

Nat nodded walking out. 

Tony kneeled in front of me. 

"Now Peyton tell me what you were thinking walking here all by yourself?" He said looking at me. 

"It was only a few blocks." I mumbled 

"Yeah but your only six, anything could have happened. your lucky you didn't get kidnapped or hurt or something." He said 

"But I was running." I said but instantly regretted that. 

"Why were you running?" He said 

I shrugged

"I was excited.." I mumbled 

He arched his brow. 

"I think we need to talk to your Aunt May about this." Tony said 

"Why?" I said panicking 

"Because that was very dangerous and she needs to know." He said 

"Tony please." I said starting to really panic 

"I'm sorry Peyton but I have to." He said 

and without thinking I run out of the office. 

"Peyton!" I hear Tony 

I come to the training room where Bucky was training my back pressed against the doors. 

He arched his brow. 

I peeked out the door not seeing anyone so far. 

"Peyton?" He asked 

"Shh." I said 

I hear Tony on the other side of the door and quickly hide behind a pile of matts, 

"I wasn't here." I whispered 

I hear Tony walk in. 

"Barnes have you seen Peyton." Tony said out of breath. 

Bucky hesitated for a second I thought he was going to tell Tony. 

"Can't say I have." He said 

I relax 

"Alright if you do let me know." Tony grumbles 

I hear the door slam. 

"Alright all clear." He said 

I walked out. 

"Mind telling me what that was about?" He said crossing his arms

"Umm well.." I began
