ACCIDENT

Time is going too fast

It has already been 1 month since I'm working here as assistant dentist.
I assist Dr.Hema ma'am preparing the patients for treatment, sterilizing instruments, exposing dental radiographs and looking after the patients.

From past 1 week I'm even working late nights.

Time 00:53am

No cab services are available, No vehicles are seen on the road.
It is all dark and silent.

'Only my fastest legs can take me to my bed as early as possible than any other vehicle tyres' I can't wait here for vehicle.
I choose to walk. I wanted sleep so desperately.
I reached almost half-way to my home.

While walking I heard this strange sounds
Oowww... aahhhhh....aahhhhh....
The sound is like someone sobbing out of pain.
I stopped there, scared to move forward.

In these dark night, I'm so all alone. There was no one else but me and those huge trees. Suddenly horror movie stories were revolving in my head. I was more scared.

Same sounds again, seem to be a male voice.

After few minutes of standing there silently, all of a sudden my mind reminded Neha's incident.

Neha, nurse at our hospital was teased by some boys at these late night on the same road few days back when she was going back to home after the duty. She said even they made some different noise to grab her attention.
She escaped from those rogues somehow.

To my bad luck, phone is also out of battery. I'm more and more scared now.

The sounds were stopped.
I built courage, walked slowly, took a wooden rod from roadside.
Seeing all the 4 sides I started walking fast, almost running .
Even my shadow was scaring me.

Someone touched me from back.
I panicked
Without thinking, closed my eyes in fear and beat him black and blue.
After few seconds, he holded both my arms, stopping me.
He holded me tight into his arms.

I slowly opened my eyes and the most attractive, handsome face with some blood on his face was looking into my eyes.

'I've seen him somewhere.' my mind

The way he was glowering at me, I almost wondered he would hit me.

At once he fell down. His leg is bleeding. He is half- conscious.
I looked into his wound, it seemed to be deep.
Edges are jagged. Blood is spurting out of the wound.
I took my scarf and tied it around the wound.

I looked at the surroundings, in one lane a bike fell down near the neem tree, huge glass pieces were seen. The place is full of blood.
I tried waking him. But no use.
He is even too heavy to lift.

I called the ambulance, no response.
Searched for cabs online in various appstore, His goodness! One cab driver accepted the ride.

Cab driver reached in 10 minutes. Driver is almost in his early 70s. Still he didn't hesitate to help me lift this person at this late night.
He dropped us in HEALTHY MULTICARE SPECIALTY HOSPITALS. .

Emergency ward. It is around 2am.
The doctor is snoring sitting on the chair.
Nurse came in and waked him up.
I masked myself to keep out of this mess cos I work here and I don't want to get involved.

"How did the injury happen?" Doctor asked

"I don't know. I was passing by, I saw him struggling with the leg, later he was in partial conscious.
