      The next morning came quickly.

Before she knew it, she was up, dressed and headed into the office.

"Morning Lizzie" she chirped as she walked by the tall woman's desk.

Lizzie looked up at the girl entering the office, "Ello Bella. What's got you so cheery this morning?"

Shrugging she continued with a smile "not sure Liz, guess I just woke up on the right side of the bed!"

The woman laughed at her, "alright then sunshine, I left some letters on the table in the office for you" and gave her a wink

Bella wasn't sure what she implied by that, but with the same smile on her face she nodded and entered the office.

It was quiet, as Tommy wasn't here yet, but it didn't bother her. She usually got here before he did.

So she went right over to her 'desk', got settled and started looking through the mail.

Nothing too important. A couple things for Tommy to look over. Making a pile of those things and brought them over to his desk, not before reaching into her bag and pulling out a peach to place on top of them.

She smirked, thinking it was kinda funny how peaches became something they always leave for each other.

After making her way back to the table, she started organizing her calendar and office notes.

About a half hour passed and still no sign a Tommy. Now that's a little weird. For someone who's very work oriented, he would usually be here by now.

But Bella brushed it off, maybe Charlie needed something this morning so he was running a bit late.

A couple minutes later the office phone starting ringing.

It was strange that this phone was ringing usually Lizzie would answer it first, then she would send it in here depending on what it was.

Hesitantly she walked over to Tommy's desk and picked up the phone, no point in just letting it ring.
"Mr. Shelby's office, Bella speaking, how can I assist you?"

"Hello Ms. Ray, takin' me calls now, eh?"

Bella smiled, it was Tommy
"Well I wouldn't have to if someone came to work on time" she teased him

He let out a single breathy laugh "ya, ya peach."

Shaking her head, "what do ya need grumpy? Charlie keep you up all night?"

"Never sleep anyways. But I did want to call you to let you know I won't be in the office until later today. Got some business with the Italians today, trying to sort everything out."

Bella still felt very uneasy every time the Italian business got brought up. She wanted to get involved but knew she couldn't risk it.

"Oh...alright, I'll be here."

Tommy sensed her unease. "I'll be alright peach. It's not serious"

She nodded until she realized he couldn't see her.

"I'll wait in the family room tonight, even if it's late can...can you come by so I know you're okay?" She asked him

It felt weird to have someone care so much about his well-being, but still he agreed.
"I'll see you tonight"

"See ya tonight Tommy"

The line went dead.

She knew she was going to have a hard time focusing today. Not when she didn't know exactly what Tommy was up to.
