soobin entered the restaurant his mother had sent him the location to. he searched around, searching for his mother to see her sitting at a table with mr choi and jeremy.

the teen wanted to immediately leave the building after seeing jeremy but sighed in defeat when his mother smiled widely at him, beckoning him over.

he made his way past the tables full of families or couples and made it to his table, hesitatingly sitting down next to jeremy.

"soobin! i'm so glad you made it. i didn't know if you were gonna listen to the voicemail but i'm happy you did. we already ordered but you can order whenever." she spoke kindly towards him. soobin just nodded, looking through the menu before ordering a simple burger and fries.

he glanced over at jeremy. the males injuries were still healing but daniel seriously did a number on him. the next day after the fight, jeremy came to school with a cast on his nose(?) and two black eyes. his right eyebrow is split and stitched up. it would probably scar and leave a permanent eyebrow slit.

after what happened that day, soobin hasn't spoken to jeremy nor been teaching him. there is no need to teach him anymore since he's been called out of his lie but soobin has been too nervous and scared to speak to him.

"soobin." mr choi called out, making the said male look at him. "yes?"

"jihoon told me that it was daniel that beat him up and for no reason. you should really talk to him about controlling his anger. apparently he was even worse back in america, doing drugs and drinking at school." he explained, shocking soobins mother.

"soobins daniel? i had no idea he was like that- then again i've never met the boy, only seen pictures of him." she spoke, drinking her water.

"oh junie isn't like that anymore, really. he's uh a lot better than he was in america." soobin spoke up, looking up at them from the menu. the two adults mentioned how it's good that he's changed but jeremy just scoffed, typing away at his phone.

the scoff made soobin look at him. "what?" he whispered to him. jeremy just shrugged before pointing towards his phone and then at soobins pocket, meaning he texted him something.

soobin pulled out his phone and there was the text.
