Twilight's Last Gleaming

I stand in a tent with a group of people discussing what we should do about the pod that fell. 

"If it cleared the ridge it's probably near the lake" some dude named Mike says. 

Suddenly the tent flap opened to reveal Octavia, "We should get moving, everyone's ready." I nod in her direction with a smile. 

"No one's going anywhere" Bellamy shook his head, "Not while it's dark, it isn't safe. We'll head out at first light, pass the word." 

"Then we'll bring torches or some shit!" I spoke up. 

The rest of the guys left while Octavia, Bellamy, and I stayed in the tent. 

"Everyone for 100 miles saw this thing come down. What if the grounders get to it first?" Octavia steps up to her brother. "Bell, we should go now". 

"I agree" I state. I couldn't really remember the future events all that clearly anymore but I had a bad feeling about waiting until first light. 

"I said we wait until sunrise." And with that he exits the tent, Octavia and I follow and discuss the pod with other members of the 100.

After a while, Octavia and I saw Bellamy sneak out. 

"He's going after it, P" Octavia says. 

"Should we follow him?" 

"Yeah."

After a short trek through the woods, we approach the tall Blake. We ran to catch up and revealed ourselves. 

"Bellamy!" I call. 

"What are you doing?" Asks Octavia. 

"Go back to camp, it isn't safe." 

"You lied" I spit. 

"You lied to me..." Octavia shook her head. "You just want whatever's in that pod-"

Bellamy shoves her, "Just go home!" 

I quickly move in-between them, "Don't you dare lay a hand on her." 

Bellamy grimaces. 

"You always want to play the big brother, huh? Well guess what, jokes on me. You're just a selfish dick." 

"I did this for you. To protect you. If the Ark finds out we're alive, they'll come down." 

"Yeah no shit sherlock, that's kinda the point" I raise my eyebrows at him. 

"You don't understand..." Bellamy took a deep breath, "When they do...I'm dead." 

Oh... I remember now... 

He shot Jaha. 

"What did you do?" Octavia asks. 

"I shot him. I shot Jaha." 

"...what?" Octavia whispers in disbelief. 

"I found out they were sending you to Earth...I couldn't let you go alone. Someone came to me with a deal: Do this, kill him, and they'd get me on the drop ship. And I did it." 

"You killed the chancellor?" Octavia's eyes went wide in shock. 

"He floated our mother. He locked you up. He deserved it." 

"I didn't ask you to do that." 

You're right. I made the choice. This is on me. Whatever they send down I'll take care of it." 

"...I didn't ask for any of this" Octavia storms off. 

"They'll pardon you" Bellamy's eyes land on me.
