I am working within your company,
I hope you can figure out what I want.
through my gritted teeth I smile pleasantly,
and I write you cards with the perfect font.
I want to be seen, want to be noticed,
I always want to make everyone's day.
sometimes I'm tired and I get unfocused-
that's okay- I'm always tired anyway.
but I want to be big and tough and strong-
oh how I have longed to be just like you!
I worry too much about what goes wrong,
I worry about each new interview.
admittedly, you gave me confidence
to pursue my dreams- I just need patience.
