Chapter 6

Chase POV

Wow.

I just fell i lov- woah woah I mean I respect Jess even more now. She's finally learnt to stand up for herself. But I didn't mean to shout at her the way I did. I just was worried about her. She went into risky territory. If anything happened to her I wouldn't forgive myself. I didn't mean to shout.

Jess POV

So this morning, my eyes are green again. They're A LOT more green than they used to be and I don't even know how. And now I can see without having to wear my contact lenses. woohoo.

Maybe my twin lady at the pond was right, and 'Fae' has matured or whatever.

'Erm, fae?' I asked my inner fairy.

Silence....

'What." She replied. Oh that's abit rude.

"Oh woah, attitude" I said to her.

"I'm sorry" I heard her sigh. "There's a lot going on you need to learn about and I promise to help you as much as I can"

"Should I go visit Jolene?" I asked her.

"Yeah, that sounds like a good idea."

While I'm on my way to Jolenes I thought I'd see if I can learn anything about my fairy.

"So, why Fae?"

"Why what's wrong with it?" She snapped

"Oh nothing, nothing. Just intrigued as to why." I replied.

"I was one of the very first fairies, we all derive from the name 'fairy'" she explained.

"Oh that's so cool!"

"Jess you must promise, that no matter who asks, you never tell them what my name is. Even if it's your mate."

"Woah we have mates?!" Aaaaand she's cut me off.

Oh I'm so glad I have a mate, I've always wanted one! Suck on that Chase.

I eventually get to Jolenes house and I don't even have to get down the paths until I here her opening the door.

"Oh my darling, I've waited so long for you to come!" She shouted down the path. Oh well I'm pretty sure it wasn't that long ago that I saw her last.

Jolene's an odd woman. She's a rather rounded Jamaican lady who knows absolutely everything before it's happened. They say she's as old as time. Hey maybe she knows Fae?

3 Hours later

I'm sat surrounded by books in Jolene's secret humongous library, that's absolutely amazing, like beauty and the beast library amazing. But my bums starting to go numb and I'm pretty sure she hasn't stopped for breath once.

So far I've learnt:
- There were five fairies that were sent to protect the first five royal werewolf packs.
- The fairies were originally humans who were sisters and they were the mates of said royal packs alphas, but, seen as there's so many other bad creatures in the world, and alphas can be abit erm, erratic shall we say, their mates needed powers that as humans they didn't possess. The alphas didn't allow them to leave the house or have a life because they were so scared their mates would be in danger. Ovbiously these badass women had enough and they prayed to the moon goddess who granted them powers.
- But for them to obtain these powers, they had to find 5 rare magical stones that would be the lifeforce of the fairies. Cut a long story short, it was like Takishis castle to find them and get them but they did.
- Because the stones were so powerful, it causes the five original fairies to become immortal, unless of course, their stone is destroyed.
- Apparntly there's been many wars to find the fairies and their stones as whomever their mate is, is one lucky guy. But all the stones have been destroyed, so there's no original fairies left.

"Basically, they become the rightful king of werewolves, obviously it'd be split among five of them, but there is five ancient were kingdoms." Jolene explained.

"Oh right okay. So why did my fairy give off black dust then?" I asked, which you know, was the reason why I went there in the firsts place.

"Oh sweetheart, you met your mate and that's whats brought your maturity on. Your fairy probably just freaked out." She said with a huge smile on her face.

I sat there dumbfounded.

"Okay darling you must be going now, busy day, very busy day." She said whilst shooing me out along the long corridor out of the library.

"Oh. Erm. Okay. See you soon. Bye." I rambled.

As soon as I got out of her house I ran to the forest opposite and slid down with my back against the tree letting everything sink in.

So, if Fae said she was one of the first, then, was she one of the five? And when did I meet my mate? Who's my mate? Wouldn't I know who he was? The black dust only came out when I... when i... Oh god.

"Fae?" I whispered to her.

"Yes?" She answered softly.

"Is, is it, you know."

"Yes, It's chase, it always has been. Don't do anything stupid, your immortal your going to have to live with it for the rest of your life. Which with any luck if we find our stone, will be forever." She informed me.

"But. But I don't want to live forever. And especially not with chase! Besides, he's got that other girl now" whispering the last part.

Fae just sighed and I got up and walked home. Do I really have to be with Chase? Couldn't I find my stone by myself, then go marry Liam hemsworth or something? I don't need any man to do anything for me and definitely not Chase.
