Honestly, this is more than a foreword. I thought it was just easier to name it as such.
First of all, welcome and I hope you enjoy what you find within these pages.
If you are reading this on April 1st then I would like to make sure that you do know this is not an April Fools Day prank. This is really happening. It's just not quite happening yet. What I mean is that right now this is mostly a placeholder until I get the story up and running officially. That's planned to happen next week on the 8th. I currently have 22 chapters of this story written. I just want to get to 25 before I start posting it.
If you read the synopsis of this story than you know that it is based off of my BTS fanfiction, Encoded in Our DNA. If you have read it then be warned that you might see some similarities, but those moments I made sure to take further and improve. (They are few and far between.) Chapter 1 will probably seem the most similar, but trust me when I say that from there on out it will start changing.
Things you might need to know regarding the story itself versus reality. COVID does not exist in my story. Consider this essentially an alternate universe. Also, in reality every Korean male has to enlist in the Army. In my head I sort of decided that wouldn't be the case due to the other disease that plagues the story. I did consider including a reasoning for this, but I felt like it would break up the flow of the story so I chose just to explain it here instead.
