Of course there wouldn't be any corn soup left in the kitchen. This is the HQ where soldiers who fight and kill titans are being trained, not to mention, they knew how precious food is and they either couldn't afford to have any leftover or the food was just enough, if not barely enough, for them.

Still, Levi had hope to at least find some leftover corn soup and reheat it so he wouldn't have to go with all the trouble of making a bowl of soup.

Trouble? It wasn't a trouble, Levi had to tell himself. At least it wasn't if it's you and it never will. It's just that, Levi never really learned how to cook. So he didn't even attempt to make a bowl of soup. Otherwise he would just be wasting their stock of food

Instead he found himself walking back to his quarters with a plate of bread and a slice of cheese. Before going to the kitchen you told him you'd be waiting for him in his quarters because the beds in the infirmary make your back hurts.

When Levi got there, he found you sitting on a chair with the mug of tea he brewed earlier.

"Here," he said, putting the plate on the table. "There was no corn soup left."
