"Yes, good! Stare holes into the side of his head. As if your crush couldn't be any clearer," Quinn said, rolling their eyes.

"We only have two classes together, okay? And he rarely eats in the cafeteria so let me be," Milan justified as he continued looking over at Leo, who was eating alone on a table.

"This is so cliché," Quinn sighed.

"What is?" Quinn asked.

"Bad boy loner and the cute nerd," Quinn explained, "you should start wearing glasses."

"But my eye sight is perf—"

"Commit to the role, Mila!"

"Don't call me that," Milan muttered. His mom was the only one that called him Mila, and it always annoyed him when others did, "and I'm not committing to anything. I'll just crush on him for a week and then move on."

"Why?"

"Because I don't know if he even likes boys!" Milan sighed.

Quinn didn't say anything as they got up from the chair, and started walking away. Milan's eyes widened in realisation when he saw where Quinn was going. Without another thought, he followed behind them. There was no way in hell he'd let Quinn talk to Leo alone.

"Again?" Leo asked, as he looked at Quinn and Milan sitting down on his lunch table. He gave them a tired look, making Milan feel a little embarassed.

"Why are you always alone?" Quinn asked, and Milan mentally face-palmed.

"Why are you always so loud?" Leo retorted.

"Why are you always so grumpy?" Quinn rose a brow.

"Why are you always so nosy?" Leo said.

"Why are you always so—"

"Okay, okay, I think that's enough," Milan interrupted. Quinn and Leo stared at each other for a few more moments, before Quinn leant back on the chair and smiled.

"Are you going to the Halloween dance, Leo?" Quinn asked.

"No."

"Why not?"

"Because it's lame?" Leo answered, "I have better things to do."

"Like what?" Quinn questioned.

"That's none of your business," Leo muttered.

Quinn glanced at their side, and Milan was looking at them with narrowed eyes, clearly wondering what the hell his best friend was up to now.

"How hot is Nessa Peters?" Quinn sighed dreamily, "right, Leo?"

"Who?" Leo asked.

"Her," Quinn pointed at a table towards their right, "the blond in the red dress."

"Okay," Leo looked back at Quinn, an indifferent look on his face, "sure."

"You don't think she's hot?" Quinn asked, and Leo just shrugged in response.

"I guess."

"I wanna ask her out," Quinn said.

"Then do it," Leo replied.

"What if she says no?"

"Sucks to be you, then," Leo answered, making Quinn sigh.

"How about a bet?" Quinn spoke up.

"No."

"But you didn't even—"

"No."

"At least listen to what it is first!" Quinn protested.
