3rd person POV:
With time almost up until the final battles of the Chunin exams begin, Kiryu decided to take a step back from training and see two people.
First, was Kiba, who he found heading towards the hospital to see how Hinata was doing.
With him was Shino who he mostly ignored.
Kiryu: Oi. Kiba.
Kiba/Shino;?
Kiba:!
Kiba: What do you want?
Kiryu: I wanted to know how you were doing?
Kiba: Huh?
Kiryu: I didn't hurt you too badly, did I?
Kiba: Ehm... N-no. Nothing I couldn't handle.
Kiryu: Oh. That's good. Sorry about our fight, I got a little too excited with that new style you inspired.
Kiba: I inspired that?
Kiryu: Yeah.
Kiba: Oh... Well, I am a very inspirational guy.
Kiryu: Are you going to see Hinata?
Kiba: Yeah, why?
Kiryu: May I join? I would like to ask her permission to fight her brother seriously.
Kiba: Her brother?
Shino: Neji is her cousin.
Kiryu: Oh.
Kiba: And you don't need her permission to do that.
Kiryu: Nevertheless... I'd like to know her opinion on the matter.
(Sometime later...)
Kiryu: I hope you recover quickly.
Hinata:(blushes) Th-thank you, Kiryu-k-k-
Leaving, Kiryu heads back to Jiraiya to practice with the dragon's chakra but takes a detour when he saw Lee in a hospital room walking on his hands.
Kiryu: Oi. Should you be moving like that?
Lee: Huh? Oh, you're the one on the same team as Majima.
Lee: To answer your question, I must train my arms if I'm to continue to be a shinobi.
Kiryu: Huh?
Lee: You see, my legs are quite broken. Doctors say I might never use them again...
Lee: But I know with great willpower I can overcome this!
Kiryu:... Can I ask you something?
Lee: Why of course!
Kiryu: That red-haired guy you fought... Was it a battle of anger?
Lee: A battle of anger...? No. I wouldn't say that... At most, in the end...
Lee: I say it was more of a battle of frustration towards himself at getting hurt by me.
Kiryu: Do you hate him?
Lee:... I am very displeased with him... But, I knew what I was getting into.
Kiryu: Hm. Thank you.
Lee: May I ask why you're curious about him.
Kiryu: I simply wanted to know whether he fought like me.
Lee: Oh... I don't get it.
Kiryu: Don't worry about it.
Lee: Hmm... Are you trying to learn their philosophy of battle?
