chapter seventeen- dancing in the dark

Ashes/pov

I stared into his eyes not believing anything he said I blushed intensely as my emotions started to overflow yes he was a good guy I did have a crush on him but I didn't expect spiderman to like me just like that I asked

'you really like me'

Spiderman quickly responded

'yeah I've liked you for a while but I never knew how you'd react'

I gripped him softly for a hug as I smelt the sweet scent of his cologne I murmured quietly

'I'll like you no matter what no one is stopping me from liking you I love you so much'

I stared into his beautiful eyes once again I kept hugging him softly as my face was buried inside his strong chest after about a minute of hugging him I let go and put my phone down on a garden table and turned the volume the highest it could go as I put on a thousand years I walked back over to spiderman he responded with

'would you care to dance with me'

He held out his hand gently as I smiled joyfully my cheeks were blushing pink as I grabbed his hand and placed my hand on his shoulder he then placed his hands on my waist as we swayed back in fourth slowly all my feelings had left my soul as the music carried on I learned my head on his firm shoulder his shoulders were so comfy I could stay with him forever I kept on smiling calmly as the song was coming to an end spiderman dipped me once I was carefully bought back up we stood there as the song just ended and another song came on I quickly ran over to pick up my phone from the table I glanced at the time it was already eleven spiderman then stated while looking over my shoulder and hanging upside down

'I guess you want to go home already'

I quickly responded with

'wait before we start heading to mine can I say my thank you for this evening'

I walked closer to Spiderman and glanced at his mask I reached the bottom of the mask and began to roll it up spiderman immediately commented

'don't'

I completely ignored him and continued to roll the mask up until I could see his beautiful soft plump lips showing I leaned in closer to his lips until my lips were on his

Peter/pov

My heart had stopped for a moment I was kissing the girl I had liked since 2nd grade her lips were so shiny and soft as they were pressed onto mine we stayed like that for a few more seconds before ash let go she quickly rolled my mask back down and yawned while saying

'I think it's time I better head back'

Without thinking she held onto my shoulders and I held onto a waste as I shot out a web and swung through the calm breeze the moon was shining brightly through the clouds while the stars were still blinking in the dark night sky ash didn't hide her face in my shoulders all she did was look up at moon and stars while blinking softly once we were on ashes balcony she let go of my shoulders and whispered quietly while yawning

'thank you for this evening it was beautiful I hope to see you again I love you'

She turned away and stumbled in closing the door slowly behind her I then shot out a web to head home

Ashes/pov

Once I was inside the house was completely silent there was no shouting no drama no anything maybe everyone had gone to sleep already I got changed out of my dress and got into a hoodie and some black comfy shorts as I leaped into my bed I snuggled down into the clean sheets as I began to text delilah

Ash: hey delilah are you still awake

Delilah: hey what's up 😚

Ash: I can't sleep I have lots of my mind 😴

Delilah: you've never been like this is everything alright

Ash: yeah I'm good but the party was dramatic I accidentally spilt wine all over my aunt's dress it was so embarrassing 😳

Delilah: really are you kidding what happened when you got home did your mom scream at you again 😅

Ash: yeah you wouldn't want to know what happened between me and that bitch 😌❤️

Delilah: YO SPILL THE TEA ☕

Ash: well a fight started and I ran away 😂

Delilah: wait what your mum is a psycho does she start fights with everyone

Ash: probably I have to go now it's getting late see you tomorrow 💋

Delilah: ok see you tomorrow 😘

After that I turned my phone off and slowly opened my bedroom I could here the loud snoring from my dad in the other room I sneaked carefully down the pitch black hallway to the bathroom to do my teeth then I silently crepted back to my room and shut the door quickly

once I was in my room I dragged my tired feet over to light switch I quickly turned it off then walked slowly back to my bed and got back into the warm sheets I stared up at the ceiling for a few seconds while I was thinking back to what happened between me and spiderman after a few seconds my eyes began to shut as I began to sleep peacefully
