Chapter 25: A "situation"

It's now been three hours the Covaci's and Xavier, Max, and Caleb are all out looking for Emilia. The cops are now involved and aware of her being missing. Arthur's father David James is now aware of son's actions and uses his resources to locate him.

Emilia along with Milo, Axel, and Klaus take Arthur to a bridge. They create a huge scene and make it look like Emilia's in danger. Axel, Milo and Klaus pretend to be bystanders. The cops have arrived they are all surrounding Arthur and Emilia. There's over 10 cars. A cop standing behind each door with their gun out. Arthur is zapped out of his trance like state and becomes aware of the situation he's in. He has a gun in his hand and he's holding back Emilia. No one would think twice about who's actually in danger.

David's assistant barges into his office "Sir, there's a situation on the bridge, it's your son sir".

David: "Send me the address, and keep this quiet"

David's starts rushing to get to the bridge. The Covaci's also find out and are rushing there.

Meanwhile on the bridge Emilia puts on a show she says "Please please don't hurt me, I want to live please don't kill me" with tears streaming down her face

The cops are attempting to diffuse the "situation".

Cop with Megaphone: Arthur put the gun down there's other ways to go about this, just lower the gun and we can talk this out

Emilia is whispering to Arthur making him more and more agitated. The Covaci's arrive and so does David.

Arthur's frustration begins to surface and he starts waving the gun around startling the cops. They begin shouting demands. Arthur puts the gun on Emilia's temple causing the cops to shoot. 4 shots go off. Emilia and Arthur are both on the ground and the cops rush toward them. Emilia wasn't shot she just has some bruises from earlier and some scratch marks. She's put into an ambulance and taken to the hospital. Arthur caught a bullet in the shoulder and is in a separate ambulance to the hospital.

At the hospital Emilia has been bandaged up and is being bombarded with questions from family and friends when there's a knock on the door. It's the police they want Emilia's statement.

"Hello, my names Detective Miller, this is my partner Evan we're gonna be taking your statement. Since you are a minor we need your parent or guardian to stay which one of you is that.

Allegra replies "That would be us" while pointing to herself and Marco

Detective Miller: "Great, okay then I'm gonna need everyone else to leave the room.They all start filing out the room.

Detective Evan: Now, don't feel pressured or anxious or anything we just want to know what happened. Could you start from the school shooting.

Emilia: Well we were in the cafeteria when there was a code red alarm and then we went into lockdown. We noticed our phones weren't working so we couldn't call the police for help. Then Arthur started talking on the Speaker system thingy somehow. Umm he said he wanted something back. We met a few years ago, and he did some pretty messed up stuff then . So I took this family heirloom of his that he always talked about. Anyways I went down to the gym where he was and somehow we ended in a stolen car together. I remember him breaking the window. Then we were at the graveyard I must have told him that's where I hid it, in the car I can't really remember. I led him to it and he told me to dig it up we got in a little tussle which is where all these bruises came from I guess. And then uhh and then .... Sorry and then he umm he he right he turned off the bomb or something then brung me to the bridge where well you saw"

Detective Miller: Thank you, I'm going to just need you to clarify a few things. What did you mean by he did messed up stuff and why did you hide the heirloom in a cemetery"
