The girl

Two weeks ago
I remember I was home.
I'm tired to stroll,
And I think we couldn't let it go.
But it seems we've lost control.

All things can change.
I fell in love with you more every day.
It was the only chance.
The spark was turning into flame.
And you know we had to stay.

Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong.
I can't deny that I've gotten worse.
You were too shy, and I was too stern.
You are the girl that I destroyed.

Whole life ahead.
Nothing will stay the same.
We'll lose this game,
Knowing it was all in vain.
But I'll never forget your name.

So many scars,
Like all the stars in the sky.
We were too far
From normal human love.
And in my head, you are still mine.

Maybe you're right, maybe you're wrong.
I can't deny that I've gotten worse.
You were too shy, and I was too stern.
You are the girl that I destroyed.
