**She couldn't do it.

She had a dagger pressed against the underside of her wrist, applying the slightest bit of pressure, blood beginning to seep out around the metallic edge. She had every intention of continuing all the way through and ending her life right then and there.

But she couldn't do it.

Elliot couldn't bring herself to drag the blade up her arm and let herself bleed out.

She wanted to.

She really did.

Besides the fact that it was going to save the lives of everyone around her, Elliot couldn't help but think that she deserved it—that every point, every decision, and every action that she made had led her to this point.

She knew she wasn't a good person.

Maybe at one point, she had been.

That sweet innocent little girl that idolized her brother and didn't know the true horrors that were in the world. The girl who could sleep through the night and wasn't always looking over her shoulder, her paranoia overwhelming her. The girl that didn't have a kill count over a thousand and cried over by accidentally stepping on a ladybug.

But that little girl was gone.

Elliot let out a frustrated sigh and removed the blade from her skin, black veins of magic stitching back together the injury.

She slumped against the brick wall behind her, sparing a glance at the entrance, her eyes briefly passing over her motorcycle. She then looked back down at her wrist, wiping away the blood with the sleeve off of her jacket.

She tilted her head back, looking up at the sky for a moment, and she sighed.

She couldn't do it.**

Klaus Mikaelson sat in the Mystic Grill drinking.

He was sitting at the end of the bar, watching everyone else bustle around the little establishment. His eyes had followed one pair of people, absentmindedly making a bet with himself about what was going to happen next between them.
