[26] Helping

The next few days passed quickly. Robbie had officially joined cobra Kai, teaching some Miyagi-Do as well. But since I already knew Miyagi do Kreese instead has one on one lessons with me. Taught me sneaky ways to cheat. I didn't want to help Robbie teach Miyagi do though. It felt immorally wrong. Even though I never met Mr Miyagi, It felt like I'm letting him down teaching the wrong side what he knew.

I made no contact with my old friend though. I see them in the hallways and at lunch but I keep myself busy with Tory and Kyler. They weren't the greatest friends but it's fun to hang out with them when they aren't being total a*sholes.

It was a Tuesday afternoon and I went over to the mall. I went with Mom and Jimmy. We were buying anything specific. Just walking around.

I broke off with them after 20 minutes to go get a snack from the food court. They were headed to a store that I didn't like so they allowed me to. They said they were gonna meet me after they finished so I ordered the food we normally got and sat down.

*3rd person*

After 10 minutes Y/N parents finally finished at sat down with her. They started to eat and talk about work and school. Y/N finished and was on her phone texting Tory.

"Oh hi!" Y/N's mom called out. Y/N looked up to see Eli. "Hey Eli. I haven't seen you in a while. How have you been?"

"I've been good" he smiled. He looked at Y/N. "Can I steal Y/N for a second? I wanna talk to her about an upcoming project"

"Yea sure! Go ahead" Y/N's mom smiled. Y/N just got up and followed her ex-friend somewhere where her parents couldn't hear.

"If your here to scold me then you don't have to" she said crossing her arms. "I'm not here to scold you" Eli sighed.

"So then what do you want?" She asked.

"I just- missed having you around"

"What?"

"Yea... I miss hanging out."

"So then why didn't you text me?"

"How can I? The last time we talked our teams had a huge fight and I betrayed you guys"

"Right..." she sighed "did- did Matt really join Miyagi Do?"

"Yea he did. He's really good too" Eli smiled

"Can you do me a favor?"

"Yea definitely"

"If- if we ever fight again. Can you... protect him for me? I know he can probably go on his own but I don't want him to get involved in our b*llsh*t."

"Yea definitely" Eli smiled.

"And- I'm sorry. About everything. I wanna quit. I do but- Kreese has done so much for me"

"But so did LaRusso and Sensei Lawrence"

"I know but this is different. I don't know what it is but- it just is-"

"It's because he's manipulating you" Eli sighed

"What?"

"He did the same with me. And with everyone else. That's why we didn't leave. It wasn't until we came to our senses"

Y/N was quiet for a second. Eli was scared she was gonna snap at him but she didn't. She sighed and shrugged her shoulders. "I'll think about it"

"Good" Eli smiled. "Don't you have that skating thing in a few weeks?"

"Yea. Matt and I are competing"

"We'll the other teams and I will be there. To support you and Matt"

"Alright" Y/N smiled. "I gotta go. My parents probably want Me"
