Summary: You're graduating, but can't seem to find Bucky in the crowd.
Word count: 1.1k

Your leg bounces up and down as you chew on your lip from the nerves. Looking back in the crowd behind you, you spot your mom. She catches your eye, smiles and waves. You smile back before turning your attention to stage.

Students walk up to the stage, get their diploma, move their tassel, look out into the crowd and exit off the stage. You would think they'd just walk off the stage after they get their diploma, but you can't blame them. As soon as you look in the crowd, you know you're gonna look to see if he's here. If he came after all.

Finally, it's your turn to get yours. Walking up the steps of the stage, the Dean announces your name and you walk towards him and the rest of the staff. You shake his hand as you get your diploma. Moving your tassel over, you look out into the crowd, but don't see him.

Your mom is crying, and you smile sympathetically. Walking back to your seat, the person sitting next to you smiles. You smile back.

Soon enough, each person has their diploma. And with that, the valedictorian makes her speech, everyone stands up, and throws their caps. Making sure to hold onto their tassel and not lose them. You weave through the crowd and catch your moms arm. She gasps and hugs you tightly. "I'm so proud of you," she whispers.

Your grandparents, aunt and uncle hug you next. Feeling the need to look to the right, like something is pulling you, a magnet of some sort, you turn your head to the right. You stop breathing as your eyes land upon the six foot man you met in the coffee shop. "Hey, I'll be right back," you say to your family before making your way over to him.

As soon as you approach him, he hugs you tightly. "You made it," you say breathlessly. His arms around your waist tighten and you feel him sigh against you. "Wouldn't miss it for the world," he says.

"You were gone for a long ass time," you say. Bucky frowns as he pulls back a bit to look at you. "I know. I'm sorry," he says.

"I missed you at the coffee shop. You alone are keeping us in business," you tease and he rolls his eyes.

"Is that the only reason you missed me?" He asks and you shrug. "Maybe. Maybe not," you say casually.

He raises his eyebrows and smirk. "Yea?" He asks as he leans in. You smile bashfully. "Yea," you say.

"Well, maybe I missed you too," he says.

"I sure hope you did," you scoff and Bucky let's out a giggle as his nose touches yours. "I'm proud of my doll. Graduating from college. That deserves a celebration," he says as he lets go of you and you take a step away from him.

"My mom is throwing a party. You can come if you want, but there's gonna be a lot of people and I know you don't do well with crowds," you say.

"I'll go on one condition," he says. You look at him confused as you tilt your head to the side. "My doll has to stay next to me the whole time," he says with a smirk.

"Deal," you say and he shakes your hand.

You loop your arm through his and walk over to your family together.

"How's it going?" You ask Bucky as you walk up to him.

"You left me," he says.

"For five minutes," you say. He pouts. "You promised you wouldn't leave at all."

"I had to pee," you defend.

"I don't care. You should've brought me with you," he says.

"I'm not gonna pee in front of you," you say. Bucky rolls his eyes. "I wouldn't follow you into the bathroom. I would just wait outside," he simply shrugs.

"Next time I have to piss, I'll make sure to bring you along with me," you say. He smiles at you. "Thank you," he says.

"Follow me everywhere like a duckling," you scoff and Bucky rolls his eyes. "I am not like a duckling," he says.

You laugh. "You are too. Oh my god! You're a buckling," you say and hug him tightly. "That's not funny," he says.

"You're right, it's hilarious," you say. Bucky frowns as he makes eye contact with you and you giggle. "My buckling."

"My doll," he says before kissing the tip of your nose. "My beautiful doll."

"Beautiful? You think I'm beautiful?" You ask as you look at him.

"You, y/n, are hands down, the most beautiful girl I've ever seen," he says and you feel heat rise to your cheeks as you try not to smile. "Don't lie to me," you say.

"No why would I lie to you. I've heard that lying is a turn off, and believe me, I wanna do anything, but turn you off," he says in a low voice.

"I uh— I—" you stand there staring at him. Flustered as you try to think of something to say. Bucky grabs your waist and pulls you closer to him. You rest your hands against his chest and you're so close you can feel his breath on your face. Every part of you tingles with sensation and you peek around the two of you and see absolutely no one else is in the room with the two of you.

"Everyone must be in the main room," you say quietly and look back at Bucky to find that he hasn't taken his eyes off of you. "Good," he says in a husky voice. That one word punctured the air from your lungs and you grip his shirt in your hands.

Slowly, he leans towards you until his nose is pressed against yours. The warm breath leaving his mouth fans over your lips as you lean forward and press your top lip against his bottom one slightly. As you were about to pull away for no reason, he holds you tighter and kisses you softly.

The kiss gets more heated as he puts one hand on the back of your head, pinning your lips to his as much as he can. You softly moan when he lightly bites your lip. "Don't do that," he groans.

"I won't if you don't make me," you say and feel his other hand squeeze your ass. "Bucky," you say in surprise as you look around the room.

"No one's in here, but us. Let me have my doll," he says as he kisses you again. You pull away and look into his eyes. "I just want you, y/n," he says.

"I'm all yours," you say and he smiles as he kisses you again.
