Ciaran sat on Taron's golden throne while his eyes were glowing red and a smile was plastered on his face.

It was completely disrespectful for another, who is not the territory's ruler, to sit on the spot as it was only meant for the king. Yet there he was, taking his time as if it was unlimited.

Kneeling beneath the throne's steps, however, was the man he had been itching to kill for months now.

"You did not even last for two minutes," He sounded disappointed.

"It is to be expected since a lowly human like you would never rival me," Ciaran added as the dead swordmaster and the dead beastmaster went to stand back in their position after literally dragging Asher's body on the floor.

Breathing hard, the Crown Prince coughed up blood and a pained expression made its way to his face.

He literally was beaten up by the two entities and they did not even use their magic.

Looking up, he glared in fury and gritted his teeth in contempt. Why was this man here? What was his reason for coming into Taron without Pier?

Was he simply here to brag about his deeds with the white-haired king in order to anger him?

Asher did not know.

"Heh," Ciaran voiced out a deep, baritone chuckle which sent shivers of fear down the prince's spine.

"Caldor," Ciaran spoke and soon, black smoke appeared beside the king and another entity appeared whom Asher knew well.

King Caldor.

The King of Heron Kingdom and one of Pier and Fenrir's servants.

"W-What... haah... What do you want, Fenrir?" Asher asked with bitterness in his voice.

Right in front of him was the man Pier chose. It wasn't him; it wasn't any of the people he knew.

A total stranger that appeared out of nowhere and took Pier like the wind.

"Crown Prince of Taron, Asher Lumiere," King Caldor spoke with a monotonous voice and expressionless face.

"Do not disrespect his majesty by addressing him directly." His voice was stern which Asher tightened his jaws at.

"You clearly do not see your position on this ladder, Prince Asher," Caldor started walking downwards with careful steps. His crown was made out of gold and the stones embedded sparkled like the glory presented by the Holy Kingdom.

'Holy...' Asher scoffed at the idea.

The Heron Kingdom was once known as the Holy Kingdom. It wasn't holy now. A dead entity ruled by a vampire king was controlling that kingdom.

When he reached the Crown Prince, King Caldor looked down on him as if he was a bug.

"Multiple violations against His Majesty have been made by Taron's Crown Prince," He started to speak and a book magically appeared in his hands via the black smoke.

As if reading something, King Caldor started to point things out.

"You asked His Majesty, King Pier, to become your concubine." The first statement got out and Asher visibly froze in his spot as he remembered that one scenario he badly wanted to forget and apologize for.

"You assaulted His Majesty, King Pier, when he was intoxicated by alcohol." The second statement got out and Asher's eyes widened. His gaze lowered wherein he contemplated what King Caldor was trying to do.

"You insisted on marrying His Majesty, King Pier, against his will," King Caldor added the third one and Asher's mind went back to the time they were in this same room. The throne room where the king announced Pier's engagement with his cousin.
